Nice crowd for a game vs the Nets...you guys work on your defence and I think there is a bright future for Wolves as I think you are reshaping and rebuilding similar to the Nets (though I know we're really holding our breath)...right now, some of your players are just playing better than some key Nets players...really sux to watch, but sucking is part of the process...

Thanks on the compliments. Our defense can be pretty horrible at times, but that's what you get with such a young team. Both teams are in the same boat, so I am certainly in no position to brag or gloat, if that's how I came across.

One little bright spot for the Nets that I didn't expect is actually Sasha Vujacic. I knew he would light it up against us, as our backcourt defense is really bad. But the guy really hustles on D and is a good shooter. Might be worth it to keep him if the price is right.

Brook Lopez had a rough game. If he was on target and the free throws were dropping, the Nets would have won easily.

I would assume he was referring to the howling during opponents free throws, a number of opposing teams fans have commented on that.

The crowd was actually bad compared to a lot of games this year. I think it was a combination of New Years hangover and the extra cold weather. But overall the crowd is a lot more active than last year. My friend and I started the announcer "DARKO" crowd "POLO" chant last year and it finally started to pick up this year. It's fun to hear.

Man up and say you played like crap on offense tonight, you weren't aggressive like you once were and you let the refs get in your head and hold you back.

Brook Lopez had six points and took only seven shots in the game. He spoke afterward about being double-teamed, about taking good shots when he had them.

“I didn’t try to force anything,” he said.

Sometimes you have to force things to make something happen, though.

Colin Stephenson/The Star-Ledger said it correctly above in the underlined...this kid just doesnt understand he needs to establish his game PERIOD, for us to have a chance in any game...I agree, he has no clue, and right now needs to be sat down individually and be told whats expected from him...I would be curious to why no one (media) has flat out asked Avery, does Brook understand his role with this team?...or are they really trying to shelter this kid because they know he is that fragile...I dunno, I'm at a loss...Its just clear we have a long road...

IDK... could be something with the system too. I mean it just seems like its taking Brook a lot longer to get set on the block. He's behind the 3pt line or the top of the key a lot to start offensive sets. Setting up a post play seems to take forever.

Brook isn't asserting himself much. I agree that he needs to understand his role to this team. He needs to realize his accountabilities, this is what separates him from a similar young player like Durant.

It's not that he CAN'T do it, but it's his WILLINGNESS to do it...
