The Los Angeles Clippers today waived center Jarron Collins.

The Clippers roster now stands at 14 players.

10-Day contracts start on the 5th according to Eric Pincus. It looks like Diogu will probably last the rest of the season.

I do like what Diogu has brought, I am surprised that we are parting ways with Collins. I thought he was a good veteran player for the team. I guess we may be making a move or something like that in the near future.

lol, it's funny cause in the broadcast for the Clips/Hawks game, they interviewed the father of the Collins twins and how happy he is for having two sons in the NBA.

Waiving a back up C the same day it comes out that Kaman isn't close to ready, while we still have Smith and Cook out also?

That brings us to 14 on the roster, and wasn't Collins contract guaranteed? Can only assume we must have a 2 for 1 on the way...

Yes, Diogu won the job over Collins.
So no matter what, good luck to Jarron.

Though, I'm not that it means a move is going to happen soon.
It's just that the team had to decide on one of their backup bigs and that they're going with Diogu.

His(and Diogu's) contract would've become guaranteed on Thursday, which is why they decided to cut one of them.

So no, I don't think it means a trade has to happen soon, even tough a guy like Rasual Butler(or Craig Smith) might not be against it(he can waiver any trade involving him) as he's not playing at all right now.

Yeah, I saw that too.
But hey, at least he's still got one son playing in the NBA.

I actually think the announcers knew the waiving was going to occur and that was the reason they showed that segment. Otherwise a scrub like Collins would never merit his own segment.

Diogu has played well so I'm glad we're keeping him.

I'm hoping we cut JC in order to make room for a big trade ???

I'm hoping there is a trade on the way, I still think Kaman and Gomes are the best trade assets (i think the clips should keep Baron to train up Bledsoe
