Kings are fielding offers for Omri Casspi

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Mon Jan 3, 2011 5:51 am

The Kings are fielding offers for young forward Omri Casspi, according to sources close to the situation.

Sacramento has received calls about DeMarcus Cousins, but they aren't willing to deal the rookie center.

The Bulls and Knicks have expressed interest in Casspi. http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... or_casspi/

Does he interest any of you?

I like the young man and would like for us to pursue him depending on what type of return the Kings are seeking.

I like him and he's got marketing upside, but it feels like he should be in New York. I haven't seen him play in some time so I don't have a good feel for his overall game, but offensively he's got a good 3 pt shot and is a scrappy small forward. Don't really have a need for him unless we can move Marvin in a separate deal.

Not a fit for this team. Wouldnt mind him but I dont see him as a need. Gonna be a nice player.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I would love to add Casspi and Landry. Move Marvin for some PG help and we might be onto something.

He's way better than Marvin. I'd try to get him.

Marvelous' net PER rating is 7.1 better.
His Simple Rating is 2.8 better than Casspi.

Or you could just WATCH them: Casspi can't stay in front of his man and has a funky shot that only works when he's open. He's is a poor man's Josh Childress.

Marvin makes 6M dollars more per season. For as much as we get from Marvin, Casspi is a reasonable substitute, but as you point out not better.
