Steve Nash

How can we get Steve Nash from Phoenix. could we package teague and fillers? Then try and use Marvin to get a Center?

Nash would have to demand a trade and probably demand to go here if we were to have any hope. Regardless of record the Suns are unlikely to trade Nash unless he really wants to go because he sells tickets and gives the team hope regardless. Knowing all that, Teague and fillers wouldn't have them a bit interested. You'd have to start with one of our key players (Al or Josh) and there is no guarantee Phoenix would deal even then.

There is no way I would trade Al for Nash. Maybe Josh, and thats pushing it. I say offer Phoenix Marvin, Teague, and a pick. If they won't go for that, then screw them.

I wasn't suggesting that we trade Al. I was just pointing out what it would take. The logical conclusion is that the price for Nash is too high.

I'll take his backup, Goran Dragic, instead of Nash. This guy has good instincts. I am not sure though how much LD would even trust him.

LD would have to get an Andre Miller or a Chauncey Billups before he just slots him into major minutes.

Since Teague isn't going to get much of a chance, its time to find that replacment for Bibby. Even if it takes Teague, Marvin, or Smoove.

sorry guys I didn't mean to post this twice..... I just really think this would put us over the top. Do we have a realistic chance in landing Nash, and if so: what would it take. Marvin and Teague……. I would be all over that. and if we can get Robin Lopez too.

i just don't see what's not to love about that lineup, particularly with Bibby/JC/Marv coming off the bench

I don't like it. I don't think you trade Smith and Nash for a 1 year rental of Hill and a 2 year rental of Nash. I don't see that team being a serious title contender.

Nash, Gortat, and Warrick for Jamal Crawford, Bibby, Evans, and picks

PHX gets alot of cap room.

This should do it then. Enough financial room for the Suns to rebuild.

I would rather trade Smoove than Crawford.... just me. I don't wont to trade Smoove but I believe Horford would fill in for Smoove at the 4 nicely. but if we loose Crawford we would have a hard time getting points from our back-ups... and Lopaz is the real prize here. we would have a legit Center. I belive he would work nice with Horford..hey if we could package Marvin and Teague I would love that (in a perfect would for the Hawks anyway) but if I were the suns I wouldn't do that.

any sort of Smoove for Nash trade would result in the Hawks not being able to resign Jamal next summer. you are just going to end up loosing both Smoove and Jamal in a few months

Luxury tax is gonna be an issue with Al's new deal kicking in. I doubt the Hawks would pay the luxury tax to keep Jamal Crawford at the salary he wants.

I believe that, if we ever want to have a chance for something bigger, this proposal wopuld be great, in case it was real.

Of course we are losing one of the best exciting young players in the L, but you have to give something in order to get something.

With Nash, Hill and López we get a really good roster (we have to add Bibby, Crawford, Marvin, Powell, Zaza and Collins) with 10 players that can play and this would be may be the most complete roster in the East in number of pieces. Just Boston could compete with our rotation (I am talking about deepness, not quality, in which we could probably be still a step behind), but this roster could play deep in the POs and have a chance to play the Finals.

In any case, in one and a half years we would be freeing and important amoun of money with Nash. Also Hill and Crawford come off the books this summer.

What I am not so sure now is if we should trade JSmoove or Horford. Al will be a near 20-10 all his career. JSmoove is able, IMO, to have perios in which he can offer more than that, but not regularly.
