this is off topic but how'd you like the new album? It became my favorite in a heartbeat, I just had to throw $35 for the Kickstarter cause, I fb messaged K-Murdock and he was cool as hell, he threw me TBLF cd also on top of it.

Tyson Chandler is a piece in Dalla's championship run, he is going nowhere.

Butler done for the season so Dallas may really try to make a move.

Dallas has very little to offer except for Chandler. THey have bigs. BUt CHandler for some reason in his contract year is playing well and staying healthy. THey would have to involve a 3rd team.

Well he's tall, does that count?

He's a player who was picked by the venerable MJ, included in a trade as salary filler, and had his latest rookie option not picked up.

Dallas doesn't have much that I would think is attainable and worth attaining. OKC, GS, Chicago, NYK, NJN are where my money lies...which means he'll end up somewhere else.

I'm telling you, MIN is the perfect fit. They need to make a move with their cap space or they lose it (making their return value on the AlJeff trade... nil), they also owe a pick to LAC ('11-top 10, '12-unprotected) so a move that gets them to give the pick away this year, or make it worthless next year would be helpful. Also, Iggy is a great fit with what they have going there. They have 2 legit scoring options in Beasley/Love (beasley being not the best ball handler, and rather inefficent), Iggy's strengths compliment their weaknesses.

The only down side is the money. And really that isn't a big problem until Iggy's final year when Love/Beas would be in the first year of their big extensions. With Rubio coming over next year, that team would look pretty impressive

Teams I feel comfortable in not predicting what they will do:
Memphis
Charlotte
Minnesota

Some of their moves look good, some bad, but Minnesota isn't very predictable. I would go into details, but Minnesota posters would spring out of the intra-web cracks and explain to me why, and I really don't need that to happen.

So Minnesota could be a great fit, but does that matter? I still think Houston is the most likely. I don't see how Dallas makes a good offer. So we right now look heading to the 8-10th seed with no trade made as playoff money is smellable.

lol, i know... but hey its a fantasy trade thread :) I've got to procrastinate on grading final exams some how. But I'm going to keep posting MIN until after the trade deadline, I just think Wjohnson/Pek for Iggy make so much sense for both teams. /shrug/ one can dream, right? :)

That REALLY seems like a good trade for both teams.

I have a google alert set up to send me articles mentioning the sixers/iguodala/brand and trade and there is a lot of chatter about Mavs/Sixers that is all mostly speculative. Iguodala is seen by a lot of the Dallas writers as a consolation prize at best.

ooo ...
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/w ... index.html

Love wants to win, if MIN is still a mess when he's up to extend, he could go elsewhere... someone should tell Kahn my iggy trade. *sigh*

Although I think its funny he talked about playing with Westbrook again (UCLA), can you imagine Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Love/Ibaka, not that i think it'd happen but still.

Would adding Holiday for Flynn (and maybe the Memphis 1st rounder) kill the deal?

Holiday is the only untouchable on this roster unless we're getting the entire Lakers roster back

Mavs might be our best hope. If we can get them to take Iguodala along with Nocioni in exchange for Butler, DeShawn Stevenson and Ajinca's expiring contracts, as well as Dominique Jones, rights to Nick Calathes and a future first rounder. We'd have to toss in Battie for cap purposes and might as well dump rights to Bavcic and Sanchez to clean our cupboard.

But essentially, we'd get a cheap young SG with a bit of promise - I think he's a better long term prospect than Meeks, we'd get a big PG who is overseas and whom we won't have to pay for a few seasons and a future first. Most importantly though, we get to clear a whole lot of cap space and free up the ball for Holiday and Turner. It's not ideal, but you need stars in this league and to get them, you have to have cap space, financial flexibility, high draft picks, and some luck. This would set us on the road toward the first 3.
