Does anyone watch Hawks games anymore?

Favored to win: Atlanta by 5

Refs: Mark Ayotte, Kevin Cutler, Ken Mauer

We face Utah on the road tomorrow, so we need this win tonight, before we come back home for two games. Go Hawks!

Might be a rough one with the westcoast start but I imagine people will be watching.

Maybe not. I've come over here the last few weeks, only to hear crickets.

It reminds me of when folks stopped going to Braves games, even though they were winning. People lost hope that the team could actually contend. They began to believe the Braves were fatally flawed, so far as the playoffs were concerned. Even poor teams can get hot and win ... IF they are structured to win. Face it, without a traditional Center and PG, our team doesn't make sense. Look at MIL: they are worse than we are but, with Bogut and Jennings, they make sense, so they average about 1500 more fans at their games.

We are 7th worse in attendance. Just think: if contraction actually came, we'd be prime candidates.

I do my best to help the t.v. ratings. I like all styles of play, but the games tend to be rather boring, and I believe it turns off most of the casual fans. The hardcore fans are watching no matter how boring the games are and are like us typing on a message board.

Tonight, we're the veteran team -- playing against a REALLY undisciplined team. Seriously, they PAY a coach for that? We're mailing it in and still blowing them out. I know NBA games ebb and flow but, if this is the way SAC plays, it's a vacation.

I'd love to see Tyreke Evans and Cousins on a well-coached team.

SAC's 2nd string is changing the game and we're still mailing it in but I can't see the Kings keeping this up. They are a poor, poor team.

However, if we could trade for some of their 2nd stringers, especially Landry, I wouldn't complain.

Paul Westphal is more of a veterans player coach, not a young core like he currently has, and he has been semi successful during his time with the Kings considering the situation. I expect the Maloof family to eventually fire Westphal.

DOnt know if anyone is watching the game with the Kings feed but Bill Walton is doing some commentary and had some great things to say about the hawks and how they havent progressed. (Thats a run on sentence. Wow.) My memory is too poor to tell you exaclty what he said but mostly about how the Hawks dont play smart basketball and look to take you off the dribble too much.

Not watching the game, but when did Bill Walton have anything useful to say?

Jumping back and forth between the Hawks and Ohio St./Ark. So long as Landry/Casspi/Dalembert/Jeter are on the bench, we're golden.

Thank goodness for the "starters" the Kings are fielding.

Wish JJ would get to the line. He has shot 0 tonight but shot like 15 the other game.

SAC couldn't miss. Ho hum. We slept through that game.

Near epic collapse. Why can't this team just consistently play like it's capable of playing? I'd even be content with 90 or even 80 percent of their potential, since then at least I would have some idea of what to expect.

With Joe and Jamal at guard, we had no true PG to run the offense at the end. It's either feast or famine, then.

Plus, we didn't care, thinking we had it in the bag and they really, really couldn't miss from 3. For goodness sakes, when Cousins hits a 3 from from the top of the arc...

Well they were draining from 3, but we also gave up some many easy layups on fastbreaks from flat out poor defensive effort.
