He looks like he could be a combo guard in the mold of Gilbert Arenas or Monta Ellis, where yeah they take a lot of shots, but they are too good to keep the ball out of their hands. He also was a decent distributor last season when he had more talent on his team.
He's currently the best guard (or player) in the country.
Monta and Arenas are undersized SGs at 6'3. Kemba is 6'0-6'1 and an undersized PG.
He's actually a true PG, but he has red flag written all over him to me. Undersized and more suited for college than the pros... a Junior putting up massive college stats to up his stock (for example as a freshman he put up 9 points 3 assists, as a soph 15 points 5 assists... and nobody thought of him as a lotto pick).. better at scoring than passing for now. I think at best he's Ty Lawson or Aaron Brooks. Which is fine, but he could also be a complete bust. And the PG position is so loaded nowadays that having Lawson or Brooks starting is sub average
I would start thinking about Kemba at like 10th and 11th... if we're going to get merely a solid starter, I would rather draft a Henson or Vesely because they have defensive potential. Kemba's going to be a crap defender.. we've had enough of that from the PG spot
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
