I have seen Dilfer go pretty hard on some guys. I didn't see what he said about Manning, but if he was being as insulting as he can be at times then he should have been called out.

I hate both Lebron and Dilfer... Lebron because he's a coward and Dilfer because he's a medicore QB that got a ring thanks to the Ravens defense and constantly bashes the Bears. But Lebron James needs to stay clam and needs to understand that sadly he gets paid to give his horrible opinion.

I don't like Lebron, but I'm glad that he bashed Dilfer. Trent Dilfer is too biased & opinionated most of the time. It's one thing to give an "expert" analysis, but quite another thing to hold agendas against certain players & teams. I don't think that he was a good enough player to say some of the things that he says sometimes. He was a serviceable QB that rode the tails of great defenses.

When Warren Sapp says something about a defensive lineman, I listen. When Rodney Harrison says something about a DB, I listen. When Jimmie Johnson says something about about a coach, I listen. When Trent Dilfer says something about a QB, I halfway listen.

You don't have to be a great quarterback to analyze other players, I have no idea why people think that.

Ummm, to those who think Dilfer isn't entitled to offer analysis because he wasn't a great QB: Shut up! As if you've never offered an opinion about a pro player despite the fact that you're most likely an overweight bum who reminisces far too often about your "glory days" as a third string wide receiver in high school who made one pretty catch in that one state tournament game.

I don't always agree with Dilfer, but he's far and away one of the better analysts on ESPN and he understands the quarterback position.

So former players can only comment on players who are inferior to them? Guess ESPN is gonna have to fire Dilfer and hire Montana.

So, your true agenda comes out. It has less to do with me being critical of Dilfer, but more to do with you dis-liking the Bears. GOTCHA. :kissmybutt:

I'm generally indifferent towards the Bears, and I didn't have much of a problem with you're criticism of Dilfer. Saying that he's biased and has an agenda against certain teams/players is a MUCH different criticism than saying Dilfer should withhold analysis that involves players that are better than he was. Thus, I wasn't telling you to shut up.
