Around the NFL: Wild Card Weekend

Post#1 » by PkrsBcksGphsMqt » Mon Jan 3, 2011 7:13 pm

Saturday 3:30 PM: New Orleans @ Seattle

Saturday 7:00 PM: New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts

Sunday 12:00 PM: Baltimore @ Kansas City

Sunday 3:30 PM: Green Bay @ Philadelphia

Bold prediction: Seattle and/or Kansas City gets an upset win at home. Seattle and Kansas City have two of the best home field advantages in the entire NFL.

Kansas City shocks the world.

Seattle keeps it close, but NO runs away in the 4th Q.

Colts trash the Jets.

No idea about our game.

Man I hope the Jets lose. I can't stand those pompous asses, starting with Rex Ryan.

I go

Eagles
Saints
Colts
Ravens

I would pick the Packers to win against every team in the NFC but the Eagles. Who cares how good your defense has been when you play Vick. Vick is a defense breaker and Packers can't tackle or stop the run.

I'm going pretty much the exact opposite.

Ravens & Saints win big, both games might be over by halftime.

Jets vs Colts should be a good game but the Jets should win it.I would love to see the Jets go in there and just stomp the **** out of the Colts and then tell the Colts about it afterward.

Outside of actual Jets fans you won't find a bigger Rex Ryan fan than me.

Jerrod is still a big fan of Rex Ryan from his days as the DC for the Ravens.

I used to find him amusing, but now he's just getting annoying. I would never want him as my team's coach.

He makes some awful decisions that get overshadowed because he's a jolly fat man.

It's astounding how many bad head coaches there are in the NFL right now. Guys like Rex Ryan, Norv Turner, Wade Phillips, Gary Kubiak, and Josh McDaniels (there are more, that's just off the top of my head) are fine as coordinators, pathetic head coaches.

I guess I don't get why Rex Ryan is a pathetic head coach.

He went 9-7 his first year as the Jets head coach and got his team to the AFC Championship Game... Now his team is 11-5.

I guess I don't see that as pathetic... That comes off as really good to me. Maybe that's just me though?

I think people are talking more about how he carries himself/how he tries to antagonize, etc.

Oh.

Well the guy is kind of a d-bag, but his team is successful. I guess that's how I judge if a coach is good or not.

I think LeBron James is a d-bag as well. I have no problem admitting he's the best player in the NBA though. :P (Obviously a more extreme example as Ryan clearly isn't the best coach in the NFL)

I was gone for a while and am not sure this was discussed. Has anyone brought up the fact that if Megatron's TD counts in week 1, the Bears are watching the playoffs from their couches?
