Would Steve Nash make us Playoff (2011-2012) Contenders?

Post#1 » by bjax24 » Tue Jan 4, 2011 10:20 pm

If we were to trade for Nash would we be playoff ready for next year? Two of our biggest weaknesses are veteran leadership and unorganized offense. He would provide both and even at his advanced age it would do wonders for us as I feel if he wanted to play that long, he could probably be a top PG into his early 40s. With his conditioning and IQ it's not out of the picture. DMC and Reke could both benefit greatly, and shooters like Omri and Cisco could also prosper with his passing. What do you guys think?

If Nash is traded it will be to a contender.

If Tyreke is healthy, I don't think there's a question we'd be above .500--whether that's enough to make the playoffs, I don't know. When us Kings fans talk about our needs--shooting, a pass first-PG--Nash is the best there is. You better believe Dalembert would be getting at least two-to-three alley-oops per game and the lanes would be open for Reke and Cousins to do their thing.

Well considering I already posted this message below in the all trade rumors somethings brewing :

With the Suns losing alot lately & starting to decline it is very possible they might be willing to trade NASH if their price isn't to steep I feel we should go after him . We have no shot at the playoffs but he would improve our team A million % & would be a great fit for next season as well as the rest of this one . Additionaly all his wisdome he can be like a player / coach to our guards & help further their careers & could help TYREKE immensly not to mention a guard we might draft !

Nash and Phoenix's front office have a good relationship...therefore, they would NEVER trade Nash to the Kings.

Maybe trade for him on your 2k team (you could even turn on trade override!) because that's as close as he's getting to a King's uniform.

Don't know how he would play with tyreke considering they both are most effective with the ball in their hands and tyreke isn't gonna be spotting up for three's any time soon. Still there is no doubt we would be way better. Unfortunately I don't see that happening but I think it would make us a playoff team if we could keep tyreke, cousins, and casspi and or JT.

If the Kings progress the way they have in 2011 so far then they will be in the playoffs next year with or without Nash.

Nash would be awesome imo. But Phx would probably want too much and with us rebuilding, I doesn't make a ton of sense. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him. The young guys would learn alot from him, which is highly valuable IMO.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
