Why? So they can sign another mediocre quarterback to lead them to a lottery pick?

There is the 2011 Draft guys. You know Tennessee is going quarterback with the 1st rounder

As far as Vince Young goes, I wish him the best. I for one do not think he's done. I wish he strives to be a better quarterback and he learns proper NFL quarterback work ethics. I think he ends up somewhere in the NFC West. 1. Arizona 2. San Fran 3. Seattle... other possible places minny, washington, ....

I think Vince will do well under a coaching staff that has more confidence in his abilities and one that will give him a longer leash. I'm sure he will have a starting gig next season because many teams are hurting right now at the QB spot.

I think some of you guys need to realize that just because a player was awesome in college doesn't mean he is good enough to flourish in the NFL. Vince Young had a ton of talent around him, and time and time again something went wrong. And Matt Leinart doesn't have the arm to be a starter in the NFL...he had a great chance to succeed in Arizona with a bunch of good WRs and failed miserably.

I think after all of the bad press he has gotten, Young is going to end up with a backup job in 2011. At the very least, I'd expect him to have to play through the preseason for a starting job.

If I'm the Cardinals, I would look into whether or not Kevin Kolb is available. If not, maybe look at drafting someone new. Whisenhunt should have some job security with two straight playoff appearances before this year and a near Super Bowl win, he can survive drafting a rookie QB and waiting for him to develop.

They could very well get Matt Leinart. Stay tuned...

Vince Young's future is up to Vince Young. If he decides he wants to put the effort in, he'll have no trouble finding a starting gig. His problem is that he's never put forth the effort. He's always been lazy and aloof--that's what drove Jeff Fisher crazy. It's why a lot of teams had zero interest in drafting him. Maybe he'll see the light like Mike Vick did, learn to study film and practice hard, come to camp in shape for once, try to master a playbook, focus on some self-improvement. He's never done any of that in the past and that's why he's unemployed. Young has a winning record almost in spite of himself, so if he "gets it" there's no reason to think he cannot take a team on a deep playoff run next season. But based on his past and knowing people that know him well, I doubt he ever "gets it".

Early guess for where he lands: Seattle

wrong. he won the job. he beat out max hall, and whoever they had back there at QB. he won the starting position, watch the tape, watch the preseason. but he wasnt a wisenhunt guy. so wisenhunt did not want him. did not want to start him. he did not pick him up in the draft. and did not want to give him the starting job. and the proof is there. the coach went down the road with those "several" other quarterbacks, and their season suffered.

^^does him not being a "wisenhunt" guy also explain why he could not get a starting gig in the nfl?

LAKESHOW, I'm not talking about this last year. I'm talking about back in 2008 when he opened the preseason as the starting QB for the Cardinals. He lost his job because he played terrible, and also because Kurt Warner is a million times better than him, and never got it back.

SF should def look at him ... I still think Young can play, but Fisher is a hardass and that probably cramped Vince's style.

SF, Sea, Ari, Buf and Car should all look hard at him

Good riddance. Breaks my heart to think we went from McNair to Vince.

Minnastoa would be a good fit for Vince. Just think about it He takes over the role that Brett left and goes in and puts up huge numbers throwing to Percy, Rice and giving the ball to AP. Sounds pretty scary to me

Good.

Just because you can run, doesn't mean you're Air McNair. I'm hoping we keep Fisher as well for more then just next year. I don't want this knucklehead costing us a quality coach. I'm sure Vince will get it together for a 8 game stretch or so at some point and everyone will be all over his nuts, but I have seen NOTHING that makes me think this guy will finally get it for good.
