A critique of the Houston trade. You said Walsh gotten taken by Houston. I responded saying the deal put 2 max cats in play for the Knicks and likely got them Felton.

I doubt that Mozgov will be the difference between the Knicks having a Max or not. You can simply give him away if need be.

I don't think teams will stand in the way of the Knicks. There will always be a team like the Wolves that does not care what team it is helping -- they just want to get talent at any cost.

But I still think this will be resolved by the deadline, making this a moot point.

Does anyone find it interesting that Sheridan hasn't said anything on melo since his big statements a few weeks ago?

What more can he say? That is pretty much the definitive statement on this whole Melo thing.

I don't want Chandler involved in any Melo deal; I want to see Will The Thrill retire a Knick.

Hmmm wonder if Nets told Favors to prepare for a deal. Teams do that.

I really wouldn't be at all surprised if the Nets give up something valuable just to get him to NJ, then worry about the extension later. That could be Favors or a high pick.

I think they (Prohkorov) are going to go as far as they can to not concede this to the Knicks before summer.

Do we play the nyets after the trade deadline? Imagine melo to the nyets without an extension, Knicks fans would let him know what he is missing out on no matter what stadium they play in.

For that to happen, Denver would have to be dead-set on not dealing with the Knicks regardless of what the teams are offering.

No way do they trade for him with no extension in place.

Wouldn't be surprised if they trade for him without him signing the extension.

You can understand why D'Antoni winces whenever someone brings up trade rumors involving Carmelo Anthony. As much as the Knicks would love to add Anthony to their mix, as each game passes, the idea of including Chandler in a trade with the Nuggets - who, according to a person with knowledge of the situation, are quite fond of him - is met with stronger resistance.

Now they are fond of our pieces.
Pardon if it's been posted.

Interesting part that the plan is to keep Chandler and sign Melo as a free agent. That means, goodbye turiaf and someone else, AR? Hmm.

+100000000000. If we can keep Chandler and sign Melo as a FA, the league better watch out.

If we get Melo and keep Chandler, I'd rather deal Gallo for a pick and keep Turiaf.
