Wall vs Gay...

Post#1 » by 3Si » Wed Jan 5, 2011 6:30 pm

Yahoo Standard 9 Cat H2H Dynasty League 12 teams...

I really like Wall and have rejected a few offers, but this one is making me think twice...

Gay + R.Jefferson for Wall + DJ

I would have made this trade in a heart beat if this wasn't a keepers league. But Gay at 24 year old has a lot of years ahead of him too and he's already a top 10 player right now... On the other hand, Wall has superstar written all over him. It will be hard for me to watch him develop into a mix of Paul + Rose in a few years...

My team is in tanking mode as I made some big moves to land myself Lebron and Wade. I'll need to keep 5 at the end of the season, so it will likely be Lebron, Wade, Wall, Roy (maybe) and one of (Wes Johnson, Evan Turner, Varejao, DJ, Nick Young or whoever I pick up from the wire).

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

RJeff's production can be easily reproduced by raoming the wire (Webster, Belli, Vujajic etc). Deandre is beasting right now, and if the Clippers are smart they keep him in the starting five and move Kaman for a good SF, meaning you'd have one of the league leading shot blockers on your team. Having Wade and Bron will even out the FT production to an average rate quite easy. Wall has shown signs of becoming a top 5 PG, while Gay has great stretches every year but usually evens out around ~30 ranking.

As for Keepers:

Wall
Wade
Bron

and two of either Young, WesJ, DJ or Turner. Maybe, since you're tanking, you could combine Roy with WesJ and Turner and get back a much better PF or SF?
