Rasheed Wallace

Post#1 » by KLEON » Thu Jan 6, 2011 4:24 pm

Is it possible for the Suns to get him out of retirement to play for them. I heard the Magic and Celtics want him. He would fit perfectly with Suns because of his post game, he can hit the money ball and plays DEFENSE but he would probably pass on the Suns and go to a contender.

BTW I have a question for the Suns supporters who go to their home games. I saw Robert Sarver at the game last night vs Lakers and I just wanted to know if the people in the stands blame him for not re-signing Amare and Lou ?

if we got wallace we would be the oldest team!! it would be good if we were a top 5 team but having the oldest team and not being in the playoffs is pointless... we need a young team... and he would not come to phx.....

^You serious? He had that unblockable little turnaround on the block, was money

His post D is AWESOME, but we need a banging rebounder...ironically, DeAndre Jordan who we COULD have drafted instead of RoLo has had 3 games in a row with 6 then 7 then 6 blocks...and oh yeah, 20 REBOUNDS last night...ugh

RoLo got 1 board last night... he's on his way to becoming the next DeAndre Jordan!

On a serious note though, I really don't like any idea of us trying to bring anybody out of retirement. Like mentioned before: if you're competing for a championship and do it to address one of your few weaknesses with a vet, it's okay. If you're a (seemingly) lottery team with an already old starting lineup that may or may not be on the verge of rebuilding? It makes no sense.

I know right, Jordan was my first choice and the guy I hoped they would draft. Could run the floor, crazy athleticism and Nash could have been spoon feeding him dunks, would have fit this team perfectly. Instead they opt for a guy who's slow, mechanical and couldn't even rebound in college...

He would be a nice addition for a team playoff bound that needed a big for 10-15 mins a game. I dont think the Suns fit that bill.

He stopped playing in the post when he realised he can just sit out at the 3 and shoot all day.

Our post D isn't bad, it's just our rebounding that's an issue.

If you watched game 7 of the nba finals last year, the game that mattered most, he had some left in the tank.

If we had him last year it would've helped tremendously.

I'd trust Gortat and Sheed defensively over Amare/Lopez.

Imagine if we'd signed him instead of Channing Frye.

I have a feeling he'll be coming out of retirement to play for the Celtics.

No, how about Sean Williams gets a 10 day contract to see if he can get his career back on track. Its only 10 days and very little money, if he sucks let it run out. His upside was tremendous when he came into the league. I know he is a head case but he is older and hopefully on meds now (LOL). Or, what happened to friggin Magnum Rolle???? We have to replace Lawal on the roster anyway.... this is the perfect opportunity!!
