Harden suffers from a lot of the same things Mayo does. He doesn't have the athleticism to really beat guys off the dribble. He's better at it then Mayo, but Mayo sucks at it so. He hasn't been shooting well this year to compensate and he's not as good shooting off the dribble as Mayo is either. He's a better defender, but that's not saying much considering how Mayo is.

You should double check Harden's stats after he started hitting his shots last month. He's over 40% from 3 now. He's shown steady increases across the board form last year. He reminds me of Paul Pierce except at 6'5 instead of 6'7. He needs a deadly mid-range jumper and he could be a stud.

OKC likes James Harden and is tight with both Durant and Westbrook (Durant specifically told OKC FO to draft Harden).

My mistake, I knew he had started the season rough but hadn't checked his numbers recently.

Still, he's still suffering from mostly the same issues. No real ability to beat guys off the dribble, no pull up jumper to compensate, etc. He works fine on that Oklahoma team where all he has to do is pass and hit 3s, like Wes, but I don't think he's going to necessarily become a stud when given more freedom.
