He better play like an All Star because Lamar might have sprained his shoulder.

Won't matter in the end Stern will pick the 5th starter on the West team more than likely it will be Pau or Duncan playing C at the All Star game.

Doesn't matter.. If Yao cannot play (which he can't), David Stern picks the replacement player. Not the next in line with votes.

So, unless Andrew has a crazy January, it ain't happening.

Already going to be 2 Lakers on the All star team. Pau and Kobe. There is no room for a third. So Drew or LO will be left out. On;ly reason Yao is even in the top is China is flooding the votes. Do they not understand he is out the season. He might be there and wave. But does that give the chinese what they want. I hurt player waving to the cameras. If he shows, I bet he is getting a bonus in his oontract.

The All Star voting and system is flawed, putting Duncan or Pau as centers is weak but that's what will happen. But if Drew has a huge January then what?

then that january is gona put pressure on coaches

unfortunately he missed too many games to get picked by the coaches or david stern as a replacement, and he's too far behind yao for the starting gig. the way he's playing after such a long layoff though, he would have easily earned a spot if he played all yr. only d12 is in a tier above him at center.

It'd be a travesty if Nowitzki doesn't start.

Here is the funny part about this topic. No one is complaining that Yao was the leading vote getter when truthfully he had been hurt twice already. The last of which ended his season. He was averaging 10.2 points & 5.4 rebounds. Now I hardly see that as "owning" the other Centers. Also Yao played in 5 count them, FIVE games this year & was still the leading vote getter.

Drew on the other hand is averaging 9.4 points & 6.7 rebounds & is improving every game. Stats wise that looks like 6 in one hand & half a dozen in the other. By the time the All Star game rolls around drew will have played in many more games then Yao had at the point he was the leading vote getter. Double standard to the max.

Look i'm not saying Drew definitely belongs in there but i don't understand why Laker fans can't be happy for him. He is leading in votes at the position now. Yao always blows it out of the water (regardless of his play) due to the China influx voting. If he has a monster January ( which most time he does) & the coaches pick him, then what? He still doesn't deserve it?

Duncan is averaging 13 & 9. Hardly sounds like owning to me. Also head to head Drew held him to 1 FG & Duncan hasn't played hardly any minutes if any at all at Center.

Now Pau is getting it done at 18 & 10 (nearly 11) & has logged most of the minutes at Center. Again, i'm going to be happy for any Laker. Let the haters sort out why or why not they belong there. Same for Lamar if he's not chosen this year it is a travesty.
