That was a bad goal. What a great way to start the game.

VE-SA! VE-SA!

Fantastic game by Toskala tonight. It's been the first time in awhile since I've had complete confidence in our goaltenders heading into overtime. I knew we were going to win that game, he was great.

We got the win! WOOT!

I think we lost a bit of our grit tonight that we had against Ottawa but not here. But Sundin brought it back at the end of the game, if he continues to do it the rest of the team will follow his lead.

Vessy has been fine so far, and I think he'll continue to be fine

Sundin has been great so far this season (in the 3 games). It seems like his concentration level is far and beyond what we've seen in the past from him.

Another player that has intruiged me is Antropov. I'd like to see more from McCabe and Tucker though.

With the way we're playing right now (despite the two losses, against the best team in the NHL mind you) we can do some damage this season provided everyone stays healthy, and everyone keeps up the same intensity level.

On a side note, did anyone see the Nathan Horton fight tonight? I didn't think he had that in him. He gave the poor guy a beating.

I am really disappointed by this outcome. When I saw it was Vesa in nets to start the night I knew it would be harder to get the win. I thought we had it but the goal with 1:10 to go in the 2nd hurt bad. Then you guys kill off the penalty in O.T. mostly in part to Vesa and a huge save, and then we take a stupid penalty... Frig. I'm still ticked haha. Anyways I came over to say good game, was an excellent game to watch and look forward to the upcoming 7!

I have to admit, that was a horrible call in OT. That's a call you make during regulation, but with less than 2 minutes left in overtime, you can't call that. I'm not complaining though, it won us the game.

Yeah, I thought the same way, but I guess they called it because they'd already given us a call and tried to even it up a little? Who knows.. But I wasn't going to come in here and complain about it ;) I'll leave the blaming of the refs for our forum :P! It was a good game though, just like the next 7 will be as well I am sure.

How nice it feels to finally have a goaltender that can make a halfway difficult save.
