Agent Andy Miller tells Y! Sports Chauncey Billups doesn't wanted to be traded from his hometown Nuggets and would prefer a buyout if dealt.

It's so funny not even Chauncey Billups wants to play in the swamp and would prefer a buyout.

I just dont understand why the Nets are still talking to the Nuggets. They should have moved on by now. If Im a Nets fan, Im not even sure I would trade half the team, nevermind Melo agreeing on an extension. I feel the Nets are in it more for the marketing aspect

HAHAHAHA

This has been the most hilarious "potential trade" in the history of the NBA. I'm not talking about just this one deal. I'm talking about each of the 900 trades between NJ and Denver.

From Chris Mannix's twitter:
Billups/Rip aren't core Melo is looking for but would make Nets competitive until 2012 when CP3, Howard, D-Williams could be available.

That wouldn't be a "competitive" team.

So now Ujiri is trying to get Kahn involved with this. Will Kahn try to foil us once again?

Wiretap: Denver Wants Minnesota To Take On Murphy In Melo Deal

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... melo_deal/

The Nuggets are trying to recruit the Timberwolves as the third team in a potential Carmelo Anthony trade with the Nets, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Denver wants Minnesota to take on Troy Murphy and send a first-round pick to New Jersey to facilitate the deal.

The Timberwolves have two extra first-round picks in 2011 -- one each from the Jazz and Grizzlies.

Competitive? Sure, for an 8th seed. Maybe 6th. If that's Melo's goal then he might as well stay put.

lol if he's bought out then how does that help Melo?

I'm 90% over this.

Chandler has grown as a player far beyond my expectations, and the Knicks are playing way over what I projected. If Melo is willing to play for the Nets rather than waiting and getting just about or exactly the same money he'd get with the Knicks, then I don't want a guy with that mindset.

I am with Knicksgod on this. I would rather make a run for a center and get a balanced team on the floor. As far as manix is concerned he is forgetting the Knicks will also be in the Market with Money also so the players he mentioned may want to play with the Knicks as well.

FisolaNYDN Frank Isola

Billups, who is from Denver, is the key to the Carmelo trade with Nets since Melo has made it known he wants the veteran PG in the deal
5 minutes ago

i didnt know Melo "made it known" that hw wanted him in the deal.. i doubt he did.. because he wouldnt have done that without talking to him & chauncey doesnt want to go anywhere.. sooooo.. smh

this is getting out of control.. thats probably why melo declined to talk to the media today.. hes over it too

Asshola is making sh*t up again like how he made it seem Amar'e didn't want Melo on the team...Does he really think we are stupid? Why would Melo tell the Nuggets to trade Billups when everyone knows he wants to retire there? Can it be Feb 24th already.
