Just got back home....sooooo tired. Lips chapped, throat creaky....but it doesn't matter.

What a game! If that was Hass' finale, then what a finale it was. If that was a showing of the type game plan Bates can execute, then what a showing. If that kind of physical running Lynch can provide, then pray for the rest of the league.

The crowd was loud. Very loud. As consistently loud as any football game I have ever been to, and god bless the crowd for failing to let up. Too often I have been at Qwest and heard the crowd cheering loudly right when the play was about to happen but not before. Today? Loud during every huddle. And every false start just fueled the frenzy.

Lynch's TD run was unreal. The crowd just exploded....people yelling and jumping around, not knowing what to do with themselves. I thought it was another conservative busted run when he hit the line...but no, it was just the precursor to the greatest run in team history. Everyone who saw that will remember that play. Everyone.

While we were leaving I heard someone say something I myself was thinkingn as I left: I'll never root for a draft pick over a chance at the playoffs again. Because you don't know what will happen. And the chance at experiencing what I experienced today was worth it. The joy amongst the fans and the players was worth more to this franchise, and I felt guilty when I saw the players run laps, giving high fives.

Oh would I love to jibe the system and the national spinners. NFC championship game in Seattle...I'd shyt in my pants from laughing so hard.

If they play another wild card team then it will happen again. Root for the Hawks, root for the Packers twice.

I didn't necessarily want the draft pick -- they'd probably just waste it on Jake Locker and throw millions of guaranteed dollars at him -- but I did want the front office to be forced to make an honest assessment of the roster, instead of looking in the mirror and saying "hey, playoff team!" and avoiding the tough decisions they need to make. But you know, I have to have faith that the FO, whose day-to-day job is looking at the Seahawks roster, is under no illusions about the state of the franchise; they know the record and the strength of schedule and the margin of their losses, as well as everything that's happened in practice and camp, and full scouting reports on every player. They'll be poring over films of every player on every play. As much time as the fans and reporters and bloggers have spent thinking about these things, Schneider and his staff have spent more time.

Thanks for the recap, Sweezo. :)

Yeah, it's funny about the draft pick thing. Here you have the Hawks coming up with such a memorable game, the kind of game that almost perfectly counterweighted the draft-pick-thing. Being the worst record division winning playoff team, being the biggest home field underdog by point spread ever, then going out and beating the Super Bowl champs in an utterly entertaining game, chock full of memorable plays, the Lynch TD run for every reason imaginable positively sublime.

We're @ Chicago next week, a team we actually beat 23-20 in week 6.

It's a very simple proposition now. We beat the Bears, and Green Bay beats the Falcons, and then we play the Packers for the NFC championship at Quest Field. Simple as pie. It's destiny.

As much as I didn't want to play the Falcons...the Bears won't overlook us. The Saints players seemed shocked after the game, but the Bears were surprised by us previously and will want revenge.

Marshawn Lynch's touchdown run moved the earth in a most literal way Saturday afternoon. Seismologists at the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network detected activity at a sensor that is just to west of Qwest Field.

"We looked at the stations nearby and one station in particular just clearly showed the crowd roaring," said John Vidale, director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network

So just how big a Seismic event was it?

"You would probably be feel it if you were standing outside the stadium," Vidale said. "But it probably didn't travel very far."
