God, lose a game--or even just make a subsitution--and half this board is running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
I thought Charlotte actually played well today; Henderson played well on both ends, Augustine seems to be playing better with Brown gone, and the whole team hustled a lot. The Wiz hustled a lot too and showed some serious grit...through 3 quarters. But hey, at the beginning of the year, they could only make it through two quarters. Nevertheless, that game was good fun at times.
Kip played out of his mind--really great game for him. Defense, aggressiveness, playing his role whatever it is. I am very glad we have him on the team. And of course Flip is now bringing him off in the role we always wanted for him (spell wall as pg, get backup two minutes as well) and NY is starting, so that's good.
Wall is looking better and better making decisions on the pick and roll. I am really digging having a pass-first pg. He is going to be a stud in two years.
Seraphin's raw as hell but his jump hook is the best looking one on the team.
Javale, Blatche and Young got worked, especially Blatche and Young. Javale was having an impact with blocks for a few minutes but didn't get it done on the boards at all.

0-18 on the road. 9-26 overall.
We have a team full of NBA talent. That's unacceptable.
Saunders has completely lost the team.....he needs to go. Many of you say a coaching change isn't the answer, but look at Gerald Henderson over the past 6 games. The guy was in Brown's doghouse for 2 1/2 years. Many labeled him a bust. I actually thought he was the most NBA ready guy in the draft a few years ago, but the guy never got on the court under Brown.
I'd like to see what a new philosophy would do for McGee/Blatche and our other guys. We have nothing to lose except a coach who isn't producing wins for us.

So yeah, after a day of thinking about the game...
I got to say; IMO, Dray is less to blame... He's just going through a terrible slump, things he used to do, just don't work... Doesn't mean he's not to blame at all though, he's still the on forcing things, knowing well that he isn't capable of doing them right now...
And Flip...???
He needs to get out of here ASAP, he gets the blame for playing Dray way too many minutes... I hope he's gone by the end of this season, even earlier if possible...

What NBA team doesn't have NBA talent. Bottomline, our NBA talent isn't ready to win or even superior to any playoff team, even in the East. Wizards don't have any bonafide starters that teams look at RIGHT NOW who can win a championship. Bottomline we don't have elite talent to help us win now (yes Wall can be but he isn't right now).
But at least we aren't mediocre or approaching the road of trading rookies for veterans under new ownership. We can now add a top talent through the draft and see if one of the young guys develop into quality player. Look at the difference of taking someone in the lottery (Wall) vs taking outside of it (Blatche, Young, McGee, Booker).
The Thunder won 20 games with Durant. They won 23 with Durant and Westbrook. Now they have already won 25 through 38 games. Patience.

Blatche is not a starter in this league. Guys like Yi and Thornton are journeymen with some potential, but have never really shown much. Young is a one-dimensional player. Wall, Booker, and Seraphin are rookies. Hinrich has been overrated his entire career. Our players are not that good, but we have been playing some pretty good D. I'm not really trying to defend Flip, but I don't think another coach would necessarily make this team that much better in terms of our record. I say we ride out the season with him. What coach could we get that could make a big difference?

I agree with you that a coach change wouldn't really make a difference "wins-wise", and that we *don't* have any sort of playoff capable talent, but IMO, I think the team will benefit if we get a coach who measures ALL players with the same stick...
I just hate it when some players get to make all the mistakes/dumbass plays they can and not get penalized for them, but others make 1 mistake and they get their PT cut in half...
I can't say I'm OK with that, I just can't... It's unfair...
Edited to add *don't*

Thank you. Every word of this. The board is divided but I know you're right, Induveca.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
