This is the main reason I don't want Granger. Acquiring Granger means trading Beasley (or moving Beasley to PF and trading Love). To me, that's a step back in our development as a franchise.

Another reason I don't want Granger is that he doesn't have that killer instinct on offense. He's almost like Garnett in that he rarely puts up huge scoring nights.

Im warming up to the idea of iggy on the wolves. Though id still like to wait and see what spot we get in the draft, who comes out, and if Iggy can bounce back from his injury before making any moves

Define huge...Granger has been among the leaders in PPG the last couple seasons...

I've changed my mind. If we could get him for fairly cheap I'd do it. He seems to be a relatively slow starter, just look at his numbers after the all-star break.

That's the problem, he's not coming cheap. Honestly I don't know why they're listening to offers now. His recent craptastic play has brought his trade value down past what they'd want for their franchise player.

We need to bring both Iguodala and Varejao, both young vets that can play DEFENSE. They both have at least 5 years of good game in front of them. You add them to Love and Beasley and we are a much improved team.

Rubio/Iggy/Granger/Love/Milicic
Ridnour/Wes/Brewer/Randolph

How close could we get by sending out Beasley/Flynn/Pekovic/Webster, cap space, and picks? Brewer could be resigned cheap as a 10 minute reserve, Wes gets time off bench, and Randolph is our primary big man off the bench.

This is pure mud on the wall ... but pretty tough defensively

NO. No, no, no, no, no.

Granger is expensive and partly broken. The idea of his knees holding up through the length of his contract is optimistic in the extreme. Beasley is young and raw but inexpensive and potentially brilliant. If you want to make that deal with me I will laugh all the way to the bank every time. But don't do it with the players on a team I root for.

Besides which, david Kahn has made clear that he intends to keep Beasley around "a long, long time." I don't think he's available. :nonono:
