There is no "face of newark". Melo's gonna be playing for preseason type crowds on a daily basis.

This is seriously not even news.

Sorry, but a team consisting of old ass Billups (who he himself has admitted that he is on the decline) and even older ass hasbeen Rip Hamilton with Carmelo Anthony doesn't do anything for me.

That's not a powerhouse team. That's 6 seed in the East material and nothing more. It's not worth it, especially when you consider who/what they will have to trade away to get these 3 guys. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

Bah, greed wins again. It's a sellout for him to go to NJ but I think we should pretty much expect that he's going at this point. I do. It's cowardly though, because it's all for the money.

It'll be very funny come summer when the CBA is finalized and it becomes transparent for all to see that Leon Rose and WWW and Melo chickened out and signed for pretty much the same money that he could have had if he had waited to sign with the Knicks.
