Nets don't stand a chance of landing Melo. To add insult to the situation, Billups has expressed he would seek a buyout if he was traded there.....sssssst Ouch. My bet is he gets traded to NY, somehow, someway.

Re: Off Topic II
^ I doubt that Crunk, Denver won't let that happen. Melo WILL walk to New York, if they don't make a trade that will land them something at least in return.
That Griffin - Jordan frontcourt is a winner. A model, ideal combo i would LOVE to have here.

Re-reading your post it could have easily meant either guy. My bad. But who knows, I'd rather see Melo at the Nets anyway.

A kid like Sullinger at the 4 and an athletic, shot blocking, rebounding role playing 5 next to him would be great.

^ Exactly, one compliments the other. You got your low post scoring, in the paint banger power forward, next to a defensive minded, shot blocking center.

Guys, I got a chance to go to the Mellow Mushroom over in Meyers Park and it was solid. In fact, the atmosphere is much better than the Boone location but not the Winston Salem one. I'll be there again.

Re: Off Topic II
As I was explaining the difference between a safety and two point conversion to my girlfriend, the conversation quickly turned to a youtube search of when football players grab the ball and run the wrong way to their own endzone thinking they scored a touchdown.
Then it went to basketball and how sometimes players score in their own basket. As I searched around... I stumbled upon...... this...........

Re: Off Topic II
Anyone watch the title game? A bit disappointing in the sense that I was hoping for a shootout... but at least I got my money's worth on last-minute drama.
I just am not sold at ALL on Cam Newton: pro quarterback. Between his off-field issues and the kind of offense that they run there... I just don't see how it translates. Players can make a big leap from spread offenses to under-center, but only if they've got a particular personality, one that I'm not sure Cam Newton has.
It just feels like Vince Young all over again... except slower.

Re: Off Topic II
The Hornets have to be THE most boring team to watch right now. I mean CP isn't playing like he used to, you know the 20 - 10 point guard. He's probably more efficient than ever, but he's not slicing defenses apart like he used to. Their slow, grind it out pace wouldn't be so boring to watch if CP was playing like 08-09 CP.

Re: Off Topic II
In the Lakers Vs Cavs beat down last night Manny Harris had a +/- of -57. That has to be some sort of record.
Other +/-'s were:
Mo Williams with -43 (in only 25 mins!!)
Jamison with -46
Twiggy Hiollins with -35
Hickson with -29 (in only 17 mins!!)
On the flip side, all of the Lakers starters were at least +40 each with three of them at +46.
That's INSANE!!!
