Carmelo probably gave them a quick "NO"

I thought that was the whole reason Denver wanted to deal with them. If it's only Favors + 2 picks (+ filler) we could easily top that.

They can't accept it cause Melo wont sign, then everything falls apart once that is known

Denver is getting blasted in this deal.. Their getting Favors who god knows what will be good... and the picks their getting from NJ.. Melo will make the Nets not terrible but not good enough where their picks will be something from like 6-13

I'd go so far as to say that if Denver keeps demanding more, it means that they never want this deal to be completed BECAUSE __________________.

Are these GM's spending more time negotiating or more time calling the media to give updates on the negotiations? The GM's should just post it on twitter directly and cut out the middle man.

Knicks can't offer an unprotected lottery pick.

Why in the world wouldn't Denver wait till the deadline to do this when the Nets are beyond repair and their pick becomes an obvious lottery pick?

We can still offer more than Favors + 2 picks in a 3-way, especially if you presume Melo gets the Nets out of the cellar.

Berger saying Melo is on board. Now I fully believe it. This one is over. Greedy and demeaning agents have steered him wrong.
