I'll try and update everyone more tonight after the game. Hopefully some more people will get in here, if not we can think of another board to try to rake in.

So once we get all the teams filled then we will set a date for the draft. The draft will be a snake draft(somewhat) where the team that picks first will then pick last in the 2nd AND 3rd rounds(to make everything more fair for the teams picking later in the 1st round), then 1st again in the 4th and 5th, etc...
During the draft you may not trade picks, you can just trade your entire draft slot with someone. this should make everything a little easier to follow.

after the draft any players who weren't taken may be bidded on in a free agency type of deal(you must still be under the 65 million cap while bidding on players).

After free agency then you may trade players if you wish. The trades must follow the NBA rules about the salary cap.

Then we can decide about when and where we will have the 1st vote, and how many times we should vote throughout the year. Unless someone has a better idea on how to really judge a winner. Also if anyone is interested in Co-commishing...speak up, and I would be happy to allow that. :D

Questions..?

My only question is: Is this going to happen?

Seems pretty doubtful, lol. I'm sure we can spark one up this offseason after the draft and everything. I know that another poster was talking about it(kinda like the Wolves/Nets one that fell apart).

Depending on when/if it happens I'd be down to get in.

I'll take the Bobcats - or if West only give me the the Clippers.

This will only be cool if someone makes these teams on NBA 2K11 and has them play a tournament.

I mean I wouldn't know what to do but I have 2k11 so if this goes through I could possibly put the rosters/teams together & simulate the season if that's as simple as it is.

We do. Ask the Nets board or Bobcats since they cool with us?

Don't ask the Nets....they'll be banned before the game starts.

I just saw this
we run a league just like this, already around season 8 I think
anyone interested please look here - http://www.nbaliveleague.com/
There are six free teams, they are set, some really strong like the Nets with Wade, Iguodala, some in the middle of rebuilding project.
It's great for nba fanatics like us.
First six get the team ;)

I guess I can't pass this, count me in. Give me...Clippers, so I can have excuses when I lose or simulated injury happens to my team. (But if anyone would really want them I could take something else, no problem)

I'm gonna bug you with some questions:) :

Draft - how many rounds? Is there a limit of minum players on roster at any time (like 12 or something?)
I guess all will be simulated by NBA 2k11. I don't have the game, how is it with injuries, should I count for example Yao Ming as a healthy player or he would be injjured for some time from the start?
Trades - NBA rules including all those no requiring, BYC and all those exceptions? The info about salaries - which nubers will be official from game purposes? And if some from NBA2k11 is there a list of in-game salaries somewhere on internet to check? (I use http://storytellerscontracts.com/ but surely other sources have some numbers different).
Voting - what does that mean - is that just a procedure to approve trades within the league?
Any chance this would be a keeper league and if, since when next years picks can be traded?

Sorry for too many "?", just being a perfectionist a bit and doing this type of sim for the first time:)

Den Masters, I don't think moss_is_1 is going to turn anyone down unless they seem extremely shady.

The Nets/Wolves BAT game took the interest out of me for a while so I will pass. Sorry.
