Interested in an NBAGM simulation?

Post#1 » by moss_is_1 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 6:59 am

A few of us over on the Wolves board are starting up an NBAGM, where you take a team and we'll draft players onto that team and then once everything is set up we'll have someone make the teams on 2k11 and see who wins.

The draft order would be randomized, with whoever gets the 1st pick then getting the last pick of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, then the 1st in the 4th and 5th(try to make everything more fair).
Each player has his current salary attached to them, so you may see some nice talent at the end of the draft where if you drafted smart early it could really benefit you. There will be a salary cap of 65 million set for the draft, and you cannot go over that whatsoever.

After the draft we will have a free agency of all the available players left that weren't drafted, they will be picked up in a bidding war between other gms. Once again you must be able to stay under the 65 million cap when picking up free agents.

Then we will have a length of time for everyone to make trades, and we will have someone set up the teams on 2k11 and begin simulating to a certain point...and see how everyone is doing, if you wanna shake up your roster...etc..

I think this basically covers it all, we don't have near enough members that are interested so we thought we could invite you guys as well as possibly the nets board.

These are the teams that are NOT available..

Tahnks for offering this to us. Trades - just NBA rules (including all those no requiring, BYC and all those exceptions) or there will be some comittee or would they need to be accepted in NBA2k11 (can I join without being a NBA 2k11 player)? Is it going to be a keeper league and if could draft picks be traded? Ooops I asked way too many questions:)

I should resist this offer, I can see myself in time consuming analysis paralysis, lol. Just wondering would more than one person per team be allowed - like even somewhat of a Cats board team or something? :)
