If you did a Millsap for Granger you would have over 4 mil in cap space next yr. Plus a great player at the 4. Maybe the Jazz throw in a pick as well.

We would already have almost $20 million in cap space before a Millsap to Granger deal. $4 million is just gravy, but not much incentive.

I will say, though. I like Millsap an awful lot as a PF next to Hibbert long-term. IF we were intent on moving Granger, Millsap would definitely be an EXCELLENT starting point to a negotiation. I'd likely want more, but maybe not awfully too much more. Millsap is a nice player.

Maybe a couple hundred, or it could be seen as pandering by the fan base, and make absolutely no difference.

Hayward as a filler in a Millsap deal? Yeah, not too bad. Could be interesting. As a main piece? Absolutely not.

my old rule, however, was never trade for a Denver running back or a Jazz role player. that dates from when Shannahan coached Denver so the first part may no longer be true, but I remain leary of trading for Jerry Sloan coached players. he just gets so much out of his role players that they never do as well elsewhere. Fair enough, but I don't exactly consider Paull Millsap to be a "role player". I think he's simply a solid young player who's a bit old-school, and would find a starting spot on most teams in the league.

Yeah, there's no chance Anthony would pick Indiana of all places to come and play. If this were 2000, and we had a contender with several stars and a future hall of fame player, it might somehow make him think twice. But, we're still a mess.

Update from Hoopsworld on Granger trade rumors-

It's that time of year again, the time of year where everyone wants to talk about every player being traded . . .even those who are all but untouchable. There have been some recent reports about the Indiana Pacers trading Danny Granger, but sources close to the situation tell HOOPSWORLD there is no reason to believe that will be the case. Granger has been listed as the Pacers' most untouchable asset, and last night we confirmed that nothing has changed on that front.

More likely, people are mistaking one headline for another. Teams are certainly inquiring about Granger, but there's a big difference between taking phone calls and making them. We hear that there is a great deal of interest in Granger, so we assume that the Pacers must be shopping him. To be clear, they absolutely are not.
