I understand the common view of journalists around here and that's good and fine, but NO ONE is going to take information coming from anyone associated with the Nets and attribute it to a Knick.

we need to create a "NY WANTS MELO" page on facebook and start a twitter campaign as well

The guy Leon Rose is an a s s h o l e

Like Berger said, he doesnt get paid a dime until Melo signs the extension....no wonder the urgency on his part

If I were Melo, id be outraged how public all these negotiations and trde proposals are going..>Melo is a private dude so I cant see how this is not infuriating him

I beleive Rose wants melo in NJ for two reasons:
1. Collect his %'age of the extension
2. Keep Lebron James happy By plugging Melo in a place where he wont be relevant in the playoff/championship scenes for years to come...easier path for LBG and his goons to get to a title

According to the Hoopsworld article, there sources say Melo is indeed getting pissed off by CAA. This can explain why he looked angry during his post game interview last night

Broussard is on ESPN First Take saying the trade is now on hold because Denver is trying to throw Al Harrington into the trade, but the Nets are saying they don't want him.

Yeah I'm so sure this entire trade is worked on for 3-4 days, then at the last second the Nuggets decide they want to add an extra $28 million to it out of nowhere. This is unreal.

I would be upset too. This should not be blasted all over the news. If should have been kept quiet on both sides. How come rumors are being put out on boths sides. Wesley has tipped off various media sources to try to make a point. Thats not classy and not helping. If this was kept out of the news from a PR standpoint it would be Denvers idea to move Melo not Melo forcing his way to jersey as its being portrayed. Melo isnt forcing his way to Jersey. He wants to go to NY but is willing to go when he has the right to this summer.

see the problem with people like wesley / rose is they've never had power. now that their in a position of power he's going bat$hit crazy in manipulating the media just to see how much he can do. he's like a small child with a new toy, except the toys are multi-million dollars athletes and mass media. anthony didnt want this, but shouldve realized what he was signing up for when get got these guys.

i hate anyone in a nets jersey with a few exceptions, ie if he played for us and contributed. melo did neither. pretty simple.

I hope Donnie is willing to take back Al.

I've always maintained that the best way to convince Denver to take back a package of just Gallo/AR (or pick)/2014 1st is to also swap 'Buike's insured contract for Harrington's 5 year deal.

@Chris_Broussard Chauncey's hesitation to go to NJ not a factor. Billups will get full $14 mill next season from NJ. That was his main concern.

The whole "wants to end career in Denver, would seek a buyout" was agent-speak.

Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard
Billups won't hold up deal, but sources just told me he will either want a buyout after season or a long-term commitment (extension) from NJ

He's getting a buyout because the nets plan on getting CP3

And you know that because? So making **** up theyll do but getting leaks from an actual owner they wont? Yeah ok. Hows the rent there in fantasy land?

Denver is playing a dangerous game. A game of chicken basically. They are hoping Melo cracks. Melo is from Baltimore and not the nice section. He grew up know family is #1. Lala has been by his side and gave up a great career for him. This is about her as much is its about him. Sure he can live where he wants but being part of a world class organization is key. No player I know ever asked to be traded from NY. NJ reputation much differently. We see how they traded his teamate Kenyon Martin. How they traded Jason Kidd. How they tore down a great team at their prime to save money. Not world class by far. Honestly they are making things worse. When hes out of that situation I expect him to throw that whole organization under the bus. Karl has been the only guy who is considered part of management who has handled it as he should.

They have a NEW GM in every sense of the word hes not a basketball guy. Hes getting the absolute best deal he could lined up. However in basketball hes burning his bridges.

He's NOT getting a buyout because he has NO choice.

What possible motivation would the Nets have to buy him out?

What he wants is is $14m option for next year picked up. He'll take an extension of course, but he's NOT going to prefer a buy-out over the $9m he's lose next year, and again, he has no leverage to seek a buy-out.

Again, read this through the Agent-translator.

What's between a buy-out and an extension?

His option.

No we won't hate him.

I love Melo and think he would be a great fit playing opposite Stat but he will just become irrelevant to us, just like any Net is, if he signs there.
