The Denver Broncos are interested in interviewing Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers for their head coaching vacancy, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter reported the Broncos' interest in Capers on "Sunday NFL Countdown."
Schefter also said former San Francisco 49ers Mike Singletary will wind up as the linebackers coach of the Minnesota Vikings on the staff of head coach Leslie Frazier. Jeff Imamura was the defensive assistant/linebackers coach for the Vikings this season.
Charley Casserly of CBS-TV's "The NFL Today" did not put Capers on his list of candidates for the Denver job.
Casserly mentioned Broncos interim head coach Eric Studesville, New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, Jacksonville offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, Houston offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, Atlanta offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey and former Carolina head coach John Fox.
Both Casserly and ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has a shot at becoming the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Shurmur is the nephew of former Packers defensive coordinator Fritz Shurmur, who was on Mike Holmgren's staff. Holmgren is now the president of the Browns.
