2009, but good write up.
I like a 3 guard rotation. Harris/Rubio splitting time and then playing together with a bigger SG.

I think Harris is pretty good, despite his having an off year. I wouldn't dislike this, but it wouldn't be my first choice for how to use the cap space.
Definitely better than wasting the space by doing nothing. You HAVE to have a Flynn trade identified though if you're bringing in Harris.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I like Harris. I probably wouldn't give up much more then capspace and an asset or two, like a 1st or Flynn, but if they're looking to flip him to Dallas of all places then that's probably all they're expecting.

I'd be elated to get him for cheap; it'd give us another shot creator. If trade checker is right, we could do Flynn and Koufos or Ellington and take Harris and another salary like JR or Birdman. We could do Al Harrington if it was Brewer instead of Ellington, but I wouldn't do that.

Denver wouldn't really have much interest in Flynn with Lawson as their future pg though.

No thanks on Smith. I'd rather keep perpetrators of negligent homicides off of our team. He's also a bonehead on the court.

If they want to start Lawson then Flynn makes more sense as a backup. Plus, that deal would save them a fair bit of money both now and in the future.

I meant that they're too similar as players. I don't think they'd be interested in another undersized point guard to back Lawson up.

Re: Devin Harris unwanted in Denver?
If Denver blows it up midseason like this, I think they'd love to get a look at Flynn. They'd probably only want to keep Lawson, Nene and K-Mart for his expiring unless they can flip him from the Melo team.
This is a bad bad team without Melo, like they may as well call up Vincent Yarbough, Tskita, Junior Harrington, and Rodney White and see if they'll come back to recapture the magic of the golden season of 02-03
