Can I just say how awesome 24/7 has been so far. What an awesome program.

Re: Around the NHL
Think moving the game to 7:00 PM tomorrow is great for the NHL. It competes head to head with a very terrible Fiesta Bowl. Should do well in the ratings.

Yep, completely agree. We'll wait to see how big of a ratings boom this is for the NHL, but it wouldn't shock me to see the Classic moved to primetime from here on out.

Roloson has been pretty solid this year but I the Lightning gave up way to much for him. Wishart's only 22 and he was great in the minors last year.
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired 41-year-old goalie Dwayne Roloson from the New York Islanders shortly after beating the New York Rangers on Saturday night.
The Lightning, who earned a 2-1 overtime win on Saturday, sent minor league defenceman Ty Wishart to the Islanders.
Roloson is 6-13-1 this season with a 2.64 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in 20 games. He is in the final year of a two-year contract and can become a free agent on July 1. In 532 NHL games, Roloson is 196-229-42-33 with a 2.66 GAA.

Re: Around the NHL

And the New Jersey fire sale begins. Langenbrunner to Dallas for a 3rd rounder.

I hope Colin Campbell does the right thing tomorrow and gives Kostopolous (sp?) a stiff, stiff suspension. That hit on Stuart was beyond cheap and costs us a top-4 Defenseman for 2 months.

Kostopolous got 6 games. I wanted more and felt it was an opportunity for the NHL to show they were serious about head shots but i guess it is a good start

Re: Around the NHL
The NHL is getting there, I guess. When you factor in an 82 game season, 6 games is a medium size chunk. 10 would set a precedent.

Kostopolous - Is dirty player I think this is his 2nd or 3rd infraction for head hunting? Either way I am happy that something was indeed done 6 is a fair number.
Also great to see the Wings win a huge shootout game with the Canucks on Saturday minus a few of our stars. Hudler has been so good for Detroit in the last couple seasons I remember being at the 08 draft in Toronto and was happy that Detroit got him where we did the guy is a good role player. Jimmy Howard has been a beast for us I guess Grand Rapids has been for our team seems like all our players who start there turn our real good. Hope Howard will take the Venzia this year. It was funny that one writer had Price as the winner and another had Marc-Andre Fleury as the clear fave.

6 is more than i thought. I expected 3, knowing how Colin usually hands out nothing.
Its nice to see them giving out some games, but if you saw that hit and now knowing that it is going to cost a good player 2 months, it still seems lax to me. I can't help but wonder if it was Sidney Crosby getting his jaw broken what the punishment would be. 10 games? 30?

Wish I would've thought of doing this.

He's physical, but he's not dirty. You're just saying that because he took out a guy on your team. If you want to see a dirty player, you have Kronwall on your team.

How is Kronwall dirty? Detroit has the biggest pushovers ever. I mean according to NHL2K10 and NHL11 our enforcer is Johan Franzen. As for dirty I would give you Homer's (Holmstrom) elbows Kostopolus is dirty for what he did I mean he was like "oh I did nothing wrong" I mean you headhunted somebody you deserve to be punished. I am not saying he's the biggest dirt bag in the league that's Avery followed by Steve Ott, Steve Downie and Jarko Rutuu

Your Detroit love is always so refreshing. I guess it depends on your definition of dirty but I could easily say the same about Kronwall; physical, not dirty. He hits hard, it's allowed
and while Kronwall has never been suspended in his career that I can remember, Kostopolous has at least 4 suspensions. That suggests dirty to me but what do i know
