They still have to play two difficult games before playing vs us in wednesday.

They have to play vs Lakers today and vs Portland. Both games on the road.

When we have a few games off we are losing badly...

Got tickets to the game...hope I'm not as pissed about this one as I was going to the Hawks game, I definitely feel uneasy.

Amare always rapes Millsap, don't expect Jefferson fares much better.

Amare rapes pretty much everyone, but if we put Millsap on him it probably won't end well.

This is a game I wish we had a healthy Okur, Knicks offense will put up points on us, can we keep up?

The only silver lining to this game is that they play Portland the night before. If it weren't for that, I would expect them to blow us out. Given the game the night before, the Jazz have a chance, but I still expect a loss, continuing the trend of losing to good teams at home.

- Stoudemire will have his stuff done
- Okur returning this game only will hurt because Amare's a physical beast and Memo will be out of game shape
- Knicks quick and tricky wing game bothers me more than Amare's game...
- This is one of this games that if you really know the Jazz, you just know the most probable output is a loss...
- Of course Deron Williams always can decide to come back from whatever hell he's been living lately...

yeah--the Jazz are 0-2 on 3 days or more rest. It feels like the last two times it took us out of rhythm. Maybe this time it can get us back in rhythm :crosses fingers:

Raymond Felton looks fat in that picture. Maybe he will eat at Training Table before the game.

I have a feeling that Hayward and Millsap are both going to play extremely well. Maybe even a Fes sighting.

I think both yours and Lava Rock's scenarios will be correct (except for Fes).

Jazz get blown out in the first half; Hayward and Millsap lead a third quarter comeback; the team runs out of steam in the 4th and we lose by 20.

I can certainly see Hayward doing well.

Mike D'Antoni started Toney Douglas (against the smaller Suns) the game before last and Shawne Williams against the Lakers last contest. I'll be interested to see what he does against Raja Bell, should he even start for Utah. It might even be Turiaf instead of either, to contend with Jefferson.

Frankly, I think it's time for Sloan to throw this version of Gordon Hayward to the lions out of the gate on a permanent basis. He's looked particularly unfazed of late. I think his defense is advanced of the typical rookie, too. Superior to Miles' (whom does his best work against others' reserves anyway), mostly because he's at least on an athletic par with anyone on the roster not named Evans or Price.

A left-field pipe-dream it may be but I would absolutely love to see Sloan start Williams-Bell-Hayward-Kirilenko-Jefferson(Millsap's better, but who'd guard Stoudemire?) with a mandate to run (as you wish, D-Will), and feature Millsap and Miles almost exclusively as his second-unit offense. Combined with the hustle of the Jazz's reserve back-court, the Knicks, at altitude, on their second of a back-to-back, could be run right out of the building. Their game on our terms. And vice versa, things going well.

There aren't a lot of players that can guard Amare. Nobody on the Jazz can, he's too quick for Jefferson and Okur, too strong for AK, and too athletic for Millsap. He'll get his.

I know it'll never happen but I want to see Fes start over Jefferson. Jefferson has a pretty lax playing style, doesn't go hard to the hoop or foul hard to set the tone of the game early. Fes does both of those things and he doesn't need a lot of time to do them. Start him to get the ball rolling sub in Jefferson and let him go to work in the post.
