But i think Mike Singletary would be good as a D coordinator.

He's already the LBs coach for the Queens.

Capers was a bad bad head coach. hes very good at his current job and is in a prime spot. I don't think he leaves but maybe he wants to be a head coach again.

I'd obviously love to see Capers stay, but i don't think it would devastate the defense if he left.

There are guys on the staff like Perry and Green who know the scheme inside and out, they could be promoted to coordinator. Trgovac has been a coordinator. Moss has played and coached in both 34 and 4-3 defenses.

McCarthy i think love the 3-4 scheme and if Capers left, my money would be on Darren Perry getting promoted to coordinator. My reasons why

McCarthy has raved about what a talented coach Perry is and

Perry has coached under Capers 3-4 defense

Perry also played and coached in Pittsburgh under the legendary 3-4 coach Dick LeBeau

Then tell the Broncos MM is available but they're not getting capers.

:D

Seriously though, at Capers' age I think he is content sitting in the booth drawing up plays for a Super Bowl contender.

I agree,I think Capers stays with us,he's in a really good situation right now.

While i really doubt he'll get offered another head coaching job and even if he did i'm confident that an assistant like Darren Perry could keep the defense thriving if the talent is there, i do remember reading an article awhile ago about Capers where he not only likes it here, his wife loves Green Bay and i believe the article said that she would consider making Green Bay their permanent home.

I can't see Cape Fear going anywhere. This is a perfect situation for an older guy like him to ride out his remaining years with the lesser responsibility of a coordinating role compared to a head coaching role. I expect him to be here until he retires unless the guys above him get fired somehow.

Kevin Greene would be a great D Coordinator if Capers leaves.

I agree someday but this is only Greene's 2nd year coaching. too raw to be DC now IMO.

Yeah, MN is whoring all these former head coaches. Didn't they have interest in McDaniels?

Broncos were the rumored team to be showing interest.

johnelway John Elway
I am excited to announce that John Fox has agreed to terms to become the 14th head coach in Denver Broncos history.

I never thought they were really going to give him the job anyway, but this is good news.

CindyBoren

Love the openness with which the Broncos/@johnelway did this hire and announced it. No "reports," no anonymous sources. Accountability.

Great point, even though Ive heard Elway can be a douche.

I think that's a good hire for Den, Fox is a good coach. They just gotta figure out who their QB is now.

He took an expansion team to the NFCC in its 2nd year.

Come on, don't let facts get in the way of that outstanding football analysis.

I never saw Denver as a legitimate destination for Capers. That franchise might as well be an expansion team given its talent level, and the new head coach is going to have to be accountable for Tebow and the media circus that comes along with him. Why would Capers - a defensive coach - want that when he's got a really good chance of winning a championship here in the near future?

I think Capers age is the main reason that most of these teams in a bad spot are a bad situation for him. Teams that need to rebuild should almost always go with younger coaches that can grow with their players.

I think Capers would consider leaving if he had a playoff type team he could go to. I don't think he wants to leave for a rebuilding job though.

I never thought Dom would take the Broncos job, but it's still relieving that the Fox hiring is official.
