Another Flyer with a dirty hit. Pushing the head into the glass. I guess he was immobile when he was taken off.

Bergeron was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital and was diagnosed with a broken nose and a concussion by Bruins team physician Dr. Bertram Zarins.

Tests didn't show any other serious injuries to Bergeron's head or neck, and he was awake and able to move all his limbs, Zarins said.

Thank god thats it

Wow... he only got 2 days for this hit? Thats ridiculous I would have given him atleast 15. Thats just unacceptable and people have to be made examples of. Who cares if hes not a repeat offender or anything, its still a HORRIBLE hit.

Agreed, the NHL screws up a suspension again. What is it gunna take to get a long one, someone getting paralyzed or killed? They gave Boulerice too few, and they gave Jones too few. blah

the sickening thing here, is that a lot of "experts" have actually put some of the blame on bergeron, saying he should have protected himself better. That kind of hockey is sickening and theres no way it should have been a suspension of less than 10 games

Yeah i'm surprised he didn't get suspended longer. I've been a longtime flyer fan since 82 but dang, what's with the team doing the cheapshots. Same thing when a flyer player cheap shotted a leaf player. New version of broad street bullies.

This hit wasn't like the other two Flyer hits. This wasn't on purpose. It was really a wrong place at the wrong time type hit. Bergeron turned at the wrong time when Jones hit him. It was boarding though and deserved a penalty and because I don't think one was called on the play, a 2 game suspension was warranted.

Jones is not a dirty player, he's not that type. He didn't mean to hurt anyone which is more than I can say about Downie and Bolourice

I thought this was a well written article about the situation.

That was a cheap shot. And that suspension was way too short in my opinion.

It was a penalty, and it wasn't the way your supposed to hit.

I wouldn't call it a cheap shot. I Still think Bergeron put himself in a vulnerable position where he turned when the hit was already in progress.

It was unfortionate, but not cheap
