What would save this season?

Post#1 » by Lamak » Mon Jan 10, 2011 9:36 pm

Our FAs acquisitions have played mediocre at best. Damion James got injured. Brook Lopez regressed. Favors might get traded and hasn't gotten many minutes. We haven't won many games.

What must happen in order for this season to be a success?

For Derrick Favors to remain a Net, show legitimate promise of being a dominant big, but yet lose enough games to win the lottery and get the #1 pick.

Dude, have you been watching UNC? Barnes sucks.
All hype. I think he'll actually turn into a solid player, but he is absolutely not a franchise guy or even a star.

I'm going to be really negative and say nothing will save this season.

no one in this years draft class is a must-get.... 2012 however... we should take the nuggets 2012 first rounder in the trade bc theyr gonna be awful for a couple years if the trade goes through lol

Lol just trying to get you riled up. I agree, from what I've seen of Barnes (which isn't much), I don't see a star player (yet). Kind of reminds me of Jeff Green for whatever reason.

Actually, contraction/lockout. That's what would save this season.

lol cmon son. i just dont understand the melo-haters... were giving up devin harris and derrick favors... and honestly derrick favors isnt even necessarily relevant yet... getting melo would help us make the playoffs, put a ton more people in the seats, and sell a lot more team gear etc etc and make the nets as a team relevant again. Idk about you but i like rooting for a relevant team whether they are at the top or just a potential contender

Not doing the Melo trade. Making this move just ages the team 5-10 years without making us a contender. The only way a melo trade gets us closer to a championship is if SOMEHOW we're able to add more allstar talent.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
