lol cmon son. i just dont understand the melo-haters... were giving up devin harris and derrick favors... and honestly derrick favors isnt even necessarily relevant yet... getting melo would help us make the playoffs, put a ton more people in the seats, and sell a lot more team gear etc etc and make the nets as a team relevant again. Idk about you but i like rooting for a relevant team whether they are at the top or just a potential contender
I dont get it either. The Nets are only 4 games out of the 8th seed which Melo could easily help us get. And if he lands here soon enough whos to say they can catch the Knicks and get up to a 5 or 6 seed? Do they win the championship this year? Absolutely not. But its a step forward. I dont get how people think getting a high draft pick is the direction to improvement as opposed to making moves and becoming a playoff team? The Nets are not going to stand pat if the Melo deal gets done. They are still going to make more deals to improve the team and make them elite.
