Is Najera injured?

I'd do that in a heartbeat if Eddie can play some.

No way. Shaun is a great backup and we don't need Wright. But if you are willing to give us Udoh, well then we are talking..... 8-)

That wouuld be a horrible deal!

Bell is MUCH worse than Livingston but gets paid a million dollars more a year for the same amount of years.

B.Wright is an RFA at the end of this season - and wouldn't get any burn on our roster any ways - just like Mexicat doesn't even though B.Wright, like Bell over Livingston, gets paid a million dollars more a season for the same amount of year as Mexicat.

So essentially we would get two worse players for the same amount of time but for more money?

Pass thanks!

I personally love B-Wright, if we could trade Diaw:

Charlotte in: B-Wright, Gadz (both expirings)

GSW in: Diaw

I'd do it hard and fast.

Tyrus starts, Wright can play the 4-5 and Gadz gives us a 3rd string center.

How about Charlotte trades Stephen Jackson and Dominic McGuire to Chicago and Nazr Mohammed and a 2nd rd pick to Sacramento, Chicago trades Ronnie Brewer and Omer Asik to Charlotte and James Johnson to Sacramento, and Sacramento trades Samuel Dalembert to Charlotte and Omri Casspi to Chicago. Deal?

C: Samuel Dalembert, Kwame Brown, Omer Asik, Gana Diop(I.R.)
PF: Boris Diaw, Tyrus Thomas, Eduardo Najera
SF: Gerald Wallace, Derrick Brown
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Gerald Henderson, Matt Carroll
PG: D.J. Augustin, Shaun Livingston, Sherron Collins

bad trade we don't need to blow it up for expiring contracts, IMO stephen jackson on his current contract is well worth it, I Think we should continue competing for the playoffs until we 2013 where all of our bad contracts end then we blow up and rebuild

Frankly, my biggest concern is the return of Crash into the mix. I seriously feel he and Jax don't blend well anymore. Henderson is no star, but he and Jax pair up very well. As I consider the options, I continue exploring possible deals that move Crash, perhaps even Diaw, so we can get some established help at the 5, and/or a significant 4 who can provide post scoring to balance with our other players.

Two teams to explore that I believe will make moves:

> NY Knicks & Denver: It seems the Melo circus is headed toward the inevitable conclusion that Denver sought to escape. Appears Melo IS NOT willing to sign an extension w/Jersey after all, and NY + Amare are sending actual messages to he and his camp (how is this not tampering?). At the trade deadline expect a deal that sends Carmelo to NY, likely including a 3rd team. What would we offer/get? If Crash is in the mix, and we're trying to clear cap space for next season, I could see a scenario or 2 that might bring us a quality young player and a large expiring (either Curry or Martin). Not sure that ultimately works with the players either team would give us, as neither would surrender a quality 5 or 4 that is a long-term answer for us.

> Memphis and Sacramento: Memphis is getting ticked off and per the Memphis Gazette, the coach is pushing management to make some roster changes. We know Sacramento has some players available in trade. If we want to trade Jax, I think Memphis will go for that, with Mayo and perhaps Thabeet in the mix.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I agree with every single word of your post Bassman, in fact make it every single letter.
