Nice, winner obviously will face Cain when he returns. Dos Santos vs Cain or Brock vs Cain 2, either could build up the fight. Wonder what weight class TUF 13 will be ?

this will surely make the upcoming season of TUF the most watched just due to the lesnar effect. I hope they didnt make this move just on the fact they will pull more $$$ in

Lesnar must be making some huge bucks doing this.

[UPDATES] via @Mike_Fagan_13, @ufc and @arielhelwani:
Dana White: "I was in communication with Brock and his camp. The stuff about not wanting to fight, wanting to go to WWE was wrong."

Dana White: It was tough getting Lesnar to commit. I'm preparing for a tough season. It's going to be an interesting 6 weeks of filming.

No interim title at end of TUF 13 - Lesnar and Dos Santos will fight and winner gets Cain Velasquez for the belt

Lesnar vs. Dos Santos will be sometime in June. "100% in June."

Dana tells Vancouver to "keep your fingers crossed" because "you could be getting" Brock-JDS.

i feel kind of bummed. i don't care much for lesnar but i want to see a rebound performance. on the other hand i really enjoy watching jds fight and think he is overdue for a titleshot and a loss would put him back maybe two fights before another. but this should be fun.

and something no one has really talked about, this will definitely bring some needed recognition to JDS.

Stupid.

Why not Lesnar vs. Mir? I know Mir is scheduled to fight Roy Nelson, which is a fight I've been wanting to see, but you could easily scrap that for a season of TUF.

1) Much better drama. I mean, not even close. I think Mir and Lesnar legitimately dislike each other. I don't see there being much tension between Lesnar/JDS, unless Lesnar starts stupid heelish tactics.

2) Both guys are at least two wins away from a title shot. Even though a win over JDS would be huge, Lesnar should have to prove a bit more before getting another shot at Velasquez. I mean if he takes down JDS and pounds him out (a fairly likely scenario), does that really make you believe he has any better shot at beating Cain?

3) JDS should not have to risk his title shot. At least not against a guy like Lesnar, who could very well beat him. Let him beat up Ben Rothwell or something.

Nah, disagree. People will tune in for Lesnar, Mir or not. He's the draw. Why not introduce a new HW instead of re-hashing a very played-out match-up? Mir's really smart and a good talker, but he and Lesnar have already done massive amounts of **** (not to mention, fighting). It's old. I'm happier with this.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I have no desire to see Lesnar vs. Mir. Lesnar vs. dos Santos is a much more exciting prospect IMO.

Not saying it won't do well in the ratings, but I have a problem with JDS having to put his title shot on the line against Lesnar. He's earned it and he should get the shot.

Even though I disagree, I can see the point on the drama side (as in, not needing it/not needing to see it again), and introducing a new fighter, I just can't agree with this being a #1 contender fight.

Being robbed of Cain vs. JDS would suck the bag. Big time.

I have a hard time seeing either of these guys as coaches.

JDS chose to put his shot on the line. He was offered a chance to wait on the sideline, but chose to fight. Pettis did the same thing.

Well, credit to him for manning up, but I still don't like it. Could make a Lesnar/Velasquez rematch happen all too soon for no real reason. With the beating he took, he should be more than one win away from a shot, even if that win is against Dos Santos.

Maybe it will prove entertaining, but I still don't like the dynamic between Lesnar/JDS either. You could say it might shift attention away from the coaching drama and on to the fighters, which would be a good thing, but with Lesnar involved, does anyone actually think that would happen?

Maynard vs. Edgar would have been perfect, IMO. They are rumoured to fight May 28...this would only push them back like two weeks. Would be striking while the iron's hot, so to speak, and creating two lasting stars in a division that sorely needs them, despite being arguably the best in MMA. I could actually see both guys being decent coaches too, unlike Lesnar/JDS.

Wandy vs. Sonnen would have been fun as well; too bad Sonnen is such a d-bag and screwed everything up.

JDS needs the money and this is a business decision that will make sure he gets that money. It sucks that his shot is on the line, but financial security is HUGE for a fighter.

Didn't JDS he say that he couldn't afford to wait for Cain?

Good for him. Feed your family my man.

This is a really smart move.

You know it's going to be a ratings breaker, Brock is huge draw, and by putting the WW's on the card is an excellent way to showcase their exciting style to a mass audience, and get the new division over.

Another thing, the little guys tend to be the most interesting inside in the house as well, one or two will have little man syndrome and pull a Junie type attitude I bet.

This should be a great season
