Adande was pumping up the Nets players while Legler was wondering what Melo was thinking in not forcing his way to the Knicks. As positive as I have been, the fact is that Melo couldve shut these talks down a long time ago by explicitly telling the Denver brass he wouldn't sign an extension with the Nets and he hasnt. We'll see what happens.

from reading the wiretap, chris sheridan states carmelo told the nuggets he would only sign the extension if they trade him to the knicks and only the knicks.

The Nuggets are a train wreck and the fans--and it's DEFINITELY not sold out--are going to turn on this team VERY soon. If I was Melo, I would certainly threaten to walk to NYC as there is no way the Nuggets can deal with this all year. Not only do you lose him for nothing, but your team completely disintegrates throughout the year.
