This is huge. My intrepretation is the Knicks aren't talking to the Nuggets right now (so he will be playing Tuesday in Miami, being that only the Nets are close).

he's just saying he'll be doing an interview on Thursday because he will definitely still be a Nugget on that day....i.e., "I ain't signing an extension with the Nets, so don't expect me to be traded any time soon."

Why? Does Denver want him for Melo?

If not, with the tides turning again towards the Knicks favor in the Melo saga, why, of all times, would they take their own knees out by doing this unless it's to route Igoudala to Denver for Melo?

I disagree. I mean no harm Charly, and you share the oppinon of most on this board, and of Knick nation-- but I think Harrington surrounded by the right leadership can help a team win a championship. Harrington wouldn't fit in well... he's on a different team now, with a star, and he does the same ****...he's a chucker, and always will be...I guess Amare screaming at him would maybe help, but pigs a pig..

And has been pretty much steadfastly insisted by a few on this board that didn't waffle like they were running their own IHOP in all this, it never made any real sense for Melo to want to extend with NJ.

Its best if there is an trade agreement between the New Jersey, and Denver quickly. The sooner Melo is able to tell them no, the more time we'll have to trade for him.

Along with everything else.... Lets look at the short-term (in Melo's mind)

If you were Carmelo, would you be desperate to goto a team that was 10-27?

The Nets are 10-27 right now.

The 8th seed of the playoffs is usually around 40 wins. To get to 40 wins.... and make the playoffs they would need to go 30-15.

Most likley between 2 and 5 teams will achieve that through the first 45 games this season.

And if this waits another week or two, they may be even more out of it, and then next season RIP or Billups or whoever is another year older.

If you were Carmelo would this excite you?

Everyone hates Broussard, but I actually don't mind him at all.

I think he just listens to too many of his sources and gets 765589404505 different answers.
