Now, as a citizen, its his job- nay, his DUTY to register himself as a sex offender based on the utterly creepy introduction he gives for himself on Jazz radio brodcasts. He should be switched to the bench just so we don't have to hear it anymore...

Good for him. As his first act as an American he should show off his wife's pepperoni nips.

Have we figured out why he decided to do that? He says it weird on the TV lineup too.

It is pretty freaking funny though.

Really cool for AK. Guess this means no more Russian Olympic team?

He didn't renounce his Russian citizenship. People can have multiple citizenships.

Techincally he did, as part of his oath when he was sworn in as a US citizen....... In reality, of course, it's more complicated......

Here is the full oath:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Damn, I wish I had done his interview.......

It is amazing that Kirilenko became a US citizen before Barrack Obama.

Delaney, looks like it might only be you that doesn't think it is funny. I don't think he is serious about Obama not being a citizen. It is only a joke.

Next step, MLE with Utah this summer.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

I would love to keep Kirilenko for MLE, but I just dont see that happening. But if Kirilenko leaves I want him to play for the knicks, to see what he can do in a run and gun.
