Chris Kaman
Sorry guys, I'm having trouble finding credible contract information. Is Kaman's next year an option or guaranteed?

Guaranteed. He does have a 15% trade kicker.

I can only speak for myself.
They each provide something that the other doesn't. Kaman is ambidextrous and has a variety of ways to score down low, plus he can knock down the 15 footer. His ability to spread the floor can help give the other guys space to operate down low.
DJ is much longer and athletic. He is the much better finisher between the two and has the potential to be a defensive anchor. He's best friends with Blake and the two complement each other very well despite being poor free-throw shooters.
Kaman has had different roles with us over the years and it is changing once again. We don't need him to be our primary or secondary option. We need him to rebound, defend, and spread the floor. Right now, I think that he would be great off of the bench where we lack a steady offensive presence. Having him as a 6th man gives him the opportunity to still be a scorer, but not hurt the team by stealing touches from Blake or EJ (Gordon).
I personally would hold off on trading him until next season (if there is a season), unless there was a no-brainer that happened to come along. I do think that he could be a positive piece on the roster, but just in a different capacity than he has been in. I don't want to see him moved if the team isn't improving or getting a respectable return.

I have a feeling that Kaman will be traded sometime, but I would like to raise his value a little before doing so. Skilled centers like Kaman are always a need for many teams around the league, so we should be patient with Kaman and wait for a good deal to come around.

I've wanted him on the Heat for, like, 4 seasons. He'd be HUGE for us now, but we'd have to wait for him to become a FA and take his talents down here.

Our beat writer said that he won't be back until mid-February at the earliest. It's ridiculous.
