Kings v. Celtics, 2011 Jan. 12

No Evans. No Garnett. Solid start for the Kings. But the C's are a team that can just turn it on against teams like us. Pierce is having his way. Cousins v. Shaq is fun to watch so far. Let's hope for a competitive game.

JT needs to learn how to take charges. There have been at least 3 times this game that he's been in pefect postion to take a charge and instead he just fouls.

Maybe I missed it, but why hasn't Dalembert played?

Was wondering the same thing. We could certainly use the interior D.

Still, relatively solid play so far. I'm seeing this as an extremely unlikely win, so anything close will be nice.

Also have to wonder why we're saying we don't have an answer for Pierce when we haven't even tried putting Donte on him.

hey Guys- I don't have access to a lot of Kings games. But one trend I noticed is that Casspi seems to have a good/very good game every once in awhile (e.g., 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 ast, 2stl) and then the next game he'll score like 2 points and grab 1 one rebound. Do you think this has to do with: (a) a lack of consistency on Casspi's part; (b) Casspi matching up better against some opponents than others; (c) Westphal's coaching (e.g., deciding to play Casspi 30 minutes one game, then 5 minutes the next?); and/or (d) due to bad ball movement overall by the team? The inconsistency in terms of his numbers seems weird to me.

Garcia has been destroyed by Pierce tonight. Would have liked to see Greene get some time on him.

Also I can't believe they called that foul on the floor when Pierce tackled Cousins. He was CLEARLY on the way up.

I've seen several calls go the Celtics way.

Well, on the positive side, at least we managed to score more than 57 points! :D

Just like the first Denver game--the negativity snowballs and eventually, everything goes wrong.

ONLY DOWN 24.

BOSTON SHOULD JUST QUIT RIGHT NOW. WE GOT THIS.

(I'm hoping that by being sarcastic about the potential of a comeback, that I'm proven wrong in my sarcasm)

Why is it sometimes we play great defense (Denver) and other times we... do this?

Can't say I expected to win. Still sucks though.

I envy a functional team like Boston.

After the Cleveland/LA game, nothing that happens tonight can make us feel too bad.

Yeah I mean this game certainly isn't anything to be happy about. But I think maybe the team was like me in that they knew they didn't have a great shot and are looking forward to New York.

The Knicks are probably licking their chops...I bet they'll score 120+ :(
