After watching the thunder very closely this season, I think that the downfall of the thunder is the interior. I think that we are set on the Perimeter with RW, Thabo/Harden, KD. IMO i think the thunder should go after a back to the basket PF because that is alot easier to find than a stud at Center. I think that a top notch PF can help the thunder in the near future more than a average center like Mcgee or any other project that is available.
The thunder need a PF who is 6'10 that can hold down the PF in the NBA because Jeff green is proving that he is a SF and I can't see him being the long term solution at PF. All of his points come either from Jumpers with the starters or slashing when durant is out.
I think that Ibaka can hold the Center position down if he has a strong Partner inside. There aren't many polish Centers like the lakers have.
I actually would like to hold off on center position because I want to see what we have in Mullens and Pliess. I am kinda disappointed in Cole because he has alot further to go than i thought. I think he is atleast 2 years away from contributing. He is way out of shape and is having a tough time adjusting to the speed of the game which is expected. Mullens is clearly the better of the 2 and My hope is that Pliess comes back like serge did after a year of overseas competition.
What do the thunder REALLY need? PF or C?

2 6'10" at post?
I think we need a true C, I prefer Ibaka at 4th position.
2011 might be the best C free agency, if we can't get a true C now, we shouldn't wait for the next time two C at Nene and Gasol level. Thunder should make Ibaka our C and look for a good back to basket PF, like you said.

Ibaka should be the PF.
The C needs to come from FA. Ideally, Marc Gasol. Realistically, probably some sort of Dalembert character.

Ibaka getting Green's minutes would be a 14/10 guy with 2 BPG which is all you need from a PF given Durant's scoring

I think that you thunder fans are subliminally underestimating Krstic's abilities and contributions to the Thunder. First, Jeff Green makes Krstic appear less of a factor than he actually is, much due to playing out of position. Jeff Green is a talented player, albeit a bad power forward. I've followed Krstic for years and what i've gathered is that he moves extremely well on both sides of the floor not only for a big man and protects the rim well due to good positioning and large frame. He has a high bbiq, very high. His frame is big and i think that pairing him with a true PF fulltime (e.g. Ibaka/Collison) instantly upgrades interior defense significantly. He is also able to produce more if being upgraded from 4th(?) option and able to play his back-to-the-basket game. My guess is that he playes in thunder what oden and alrdidge did before on blazers, leave the lane fairly open for roy to penetrate, hence he's asked to do the same for durant, westbrook and not play back-to-basket.
I believe that whoever Thunder decide to run at C in the future, that center will be at best 3rd option (depending on whether Thunder let Green go).
