We already have $72,108,109 in salary in 2012/2013 and that is not including Bynum or Fisher's options or the new CBA

Reading the article it seems like it's a " don't leave Dwight" manifesto, they know all to well the scenario. The writing is definitely on the wall. But the author is absolutely insane to say coming to LA will be a mistake........how so ?

Truth be told Howard will come here for the same reason's many other stars have came here, ultimate fame and they know the winning will take care of it's self.

i dont even know if I'd want howard here especially when we have a good big man in bynum....give me a top 3 point guard in 2012 and surround him and bynum with serviceable players and im happy for a couple of nice playoff pushes

We can dream of this as Laker fans. In the real world. It will never happen. We do not have what they would want. Bynum would be the starting point. Sure he would be replaced with Howard. But what else of any value would they want. Luke/Ron/Shannon?/

Lakers got away with it once with Pau. LIghting does not strike twice in the same decade.

Howard is a force of nature. But the 2009 Finals just keep reminding me of Howard's offense. Like 3 straight games, the Lakers didn't let him score often and basically made him useless on the offensive court. Though he does give it all on defense and plus he does stay healthy throughtout the season.

I don't want Howard, he's a goofball. Andrew Bynum almost never laughs and is always serious.

Yeah that very limited array of offensive moves is the only knock on him, I kind of feel that even an old Kobe and Gasol's presence could kind of make up for that.

We got pay in the 2000's decade, Lightning can strike next decade in 2012 or 2013 ;P That's a different decade.

We can sign Howard, with Bynum going elsewhere, but Lamar would have to go :(.

Dwight Howard Q&A

Post#31 » by Jetset » Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:44 pm

Stein: When you walk around town, do people ask you if you're going to leave town someday like Shaq did? How often do people ask those kinds of questions? Can you feel that people in Orlando are worried about history repeating itself?

Howard: I want to win a championship. And I'm going to do whatever I can to win the championship here in Orlando. This is where I started my career and I would love to finish my career here.

Stein: I ask that because all of us know-it-alls [in the media] think that the Magic made these trades because they're worried about keeping you.

Howard: Did they make the moves to keep me happy? I don't know. The only thing that's going to keep me happy is winning -- winning a championship. I always have to do what's best for me at the end of the day. [But] like I said, I'd love to finish my career in Orlando.

Sounds to me that he loves Orlando and that he's loyal to the team, but if they don't win he's going elsewhere. And his loyalty to the organization isn't going to let him early terminate out and leave them with nothing, meaning that we're going to have to S&T with ORL. Darn was hoping we could flip Bynum, expiring Odom, Walton and maybe a pick or two to someone else for a good 1st rounder and draft a future star or trade for one.

Mark Heisler tweeted this 30 mins ago "I asked a gm recently what can keep Dwight from becoming a Laker... "A new CBA with a Hard Cap, " he said... In other words nothing." What you guys think?

We're not getting Melo so dreams of him need to end. He's already said he wants to play for NY what more do you want? Although getting Howard would be a long shot as well I believe it to be more realistic then seeing Carmela play for the Lakers. And seesh talk about a triple post.

I guess that GM has totally written off any hope of the Magic winning a title. If the Magic manage to shock the league and win I say there's no way he leaves.
