It's going to happen tomorrow. Rob Ryan is 50/50 to stick around.
I like that Shurmur is an offense guy, that's what the team needs. Good fit with Colt at QB if you look at what the Rams did this year with similar personnel. He's not a strong personality but he's got the quiet confidence of someome like Mike Smith in ATL and the players should really respond to that.

But there's a lot of work to be done on that roster; the entire defensive front 7 needs to be turned over other than Rubin and maybe Gocong, and those two are both complementary players and not difference makers. They need to replace Sheldon Brown and get a nickel back too. And the right side of the OL needs improving. All that and I haven't even mentioned the biggest need: WR.

Does that mean we would keep a 3-4 or switch to 4-3. I know he has experience with both.

Broncos got John Fox, good hire IMO, better than any of the other candidates who spurned them.

Absolutely. FWIW they were not Tebow fans in Carolina last draft but I believe that came from above Fox. He wasn't a big Clausen fan either, which turned out to be right.

Does this mean that the Broncos are switching to a 4-3? Does it change who they will be eyeing for the draft? It seems alot of the ends are more 3-4 guys in the draft. Would that mean they got for peterson possibly?

Thanks for all the info Icness.

Any clue who the coordinators for the Browns will be?

Dick Jauron and Mike McCoy are reportedly the favorites. Would they be good choices?

Hue Jackson takes over in Oakland, no surprise.

McDaniels lands in STL as the OC, replacing Shurmur. I like the idea of McD working with Sam Bradford and the young linemen.

Tom Cable takes the OL/AHC gig in Seattle. He'll need to be magical to get that line up to shape. Jeremy Bates gets fired for the 3rd year in a row, have to think his days as a wunderkid coordinator are done.

I chatted with someone close to Mangini and it sounds like he is waiting out the labor agreement before he jumps back in, unless someone wows him with $$.

Mike Singletary to be LB coach for Vikings. Singletary and Frazier, two 85 Bears teaming up. Vikes also tabbed Musgrave as OC.

I'm happy with Jauron but would have preferred Wannstache to him.

Word is former Cardinals DC Billy Davis, who interviewed for the Browns DC job too, might get a positional job with the Browns. Davis and Heckert connections run deep so it'd make sense.

The biggest winner in Jauron coming to the Browns: Shaun Rogers. Rogers loved him in Detroit and wanted him in Buffalo. He was misused in Cleveland and could regain his form with Jauron in Cleveland form.

Big hire for Shurmur though. He recognized he needed a smart, experienced DC and he got that.
