Baltimore at Pittsburgh
Favored to win: Pitt by 3.5 points

Green Bay at Atlanta
The Falcons defense concerns me. Green Bay put up nearly 500 yards on them during the regular season meeting and a couple mishaps on Green Bay's part is what cost them the game. Favored to win: Falcons by 1.5 points

Seattle at Chicago
Favored to win: Chicago by 10 points

N.Y. Jets at New England
Favored to win: New England by 9 points

I expect all the home teams to win although I'm sure that won't be the case.

Baltimore - Pittsburgh

this is sure to be a good game. every ravens vs steelers game are always very competitive and evenly matched and this game won't be an exception. 2 of the best defenses in the league. both teams are probably going to struggle and be limited in running the football. There won't be too many big passing plays. It's going to come down to the quarterbacks Flacco and Roethlisberger. The game will come down to the final drive. I think Roethlisberger pulls it out and wins it for Pittsburgh although i will be rooting for the Ravens.

Greenbay - Atlanta

Atlanta has had a great season and the record shows. Experts say they are underrated and a force to be reckon with. I say they are not as good as their record show. Greenbay is a good solid football team offensively and defensively. I would think this game would be pretty close and evenly matched. Even though i think Atlanta is not as good as their record shows, i think at home they will beat Greenbay.

Seattle - Chicago

Ok last weekend most people thought New Orleans would take care of business. A few said Seattle will keep it competitive. But I'm sure nobody predicted the show Seattle put that day on New Orleans. This weekend the smart pick would be to pick the team with the better record (and winning record) over the 7-9 Seattle that was able to win a wild card game. Surely the 7-9 Seattle cannot win 2 games in the playoffs right? Although Seattle did beat Chicago in the regular season... I am going out on a limb here, I say THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS on the road will beat the Chicago Bears. I say the seahawks will cause some jay culter turnovers and they come away with a close win something like 23-20.

New York Jets - New England

the jets has a lot to prove while new england is coming in with a lot of confidence after the (what was it?) 45 -3 massacre in the regular season. What can i say, the Pats look like champions this season and I will not bet against them in the playoffs against any team. New York Jets is a great team but Sanchez is young and still has a lot to learn. Brady this season 30+ TD and only 4 INT. He will take care of business and the Patriots will win this game.

Another round of predictions for me to get wrong, I thought the Saints were a lock, who didn't, and that the Colts had enough to win one game this year, wrong and wrong. I did pick Packers winning a close one and Ravens blowing out the Chiefs right though.

Ravens - 10
Steelers - 17

Roethlisberger has owned the Ravens during their recent rivalry. While the Ravens won two of the last seven match-ups, both wins came with Big Ben on the bench. As long as Polamalu stays healthy, the Steelers have the best defense in the playoffs and will win this game by more than the field goal most people have it coming down to. A seven point margin in this game will seem like a twenty point one.

Green Bay - 23
Atlanta - 20

This will be the game of the weekend. The first matchup played out exactly like a playoff game and lo and behold these two teams will meet again. In the regular season, Atlanta got the edge and won a close one, as they did much of the season. But I still think Green Bay has the most talent of any team in the NFC. As long as they don't have issues with catching balls thrown right into their numbers this weekend like last, they can win this one.

Seattle - 17
Chicago - 34

This could be a fool me once, fool me twice sort of situation for me with Seattle. But while watching the Saints fall apart last week, I thought two things: 1) Matt Hasselbeck is awfully lucky that all he has to do is lob deep balls for his WRs and 2) the Seahawks fans really seemed to have an effect on the Saints in key moments. Uncharacteristic mistakes, like burning a timeout early, you wouldn't expect out of a defending champion.

I think against the Bears defense, much better than the Saints, and on the road, Seattle will finally be who we thought they were. Seattle did beat the Bears at Soldier Field earlier this year though, so the Bears can't look ahead to next week like the Saints must have been doing.

New York - 17
New England - 33

I still think the Jets are vastly overrated and I don't see how this is any different than the last time these two teams met. I think New York gets too much credit for beating New England in week 2, back when the Patriots were a team searching for an identity, a team whose defense was young and needed the experience of a full season, and a team mucked up by Randy Moss's drama. I would take whatever line the Patriots are getting in this game.

Seattle once again is getting way too many points. Granted they are on the road this time, but they did beat Chicago this year. It wouldn't be far fetched for them to pull another upset... and if Green Bay wins Seattle is looking at a shot at the NFC title on their own turf. Amazing.

I like the Ravens over Pitt. Playing Baltimore with a shoddy offensive line is bad news. I think Baltimore controls the lines game and eats them up defensively overall. Baltimore by 7-10 IMO

Pats over Jets but the latter covers and I wouldn't be surprised if they won. I think they run the ball well again like in the Indy game

Bears blow out the Seahawks, Seattle is a different team on the road. Bears d will eat them up. Something like 27 to 6 IMO

Falcons Packers is the closest game, I have Packers by 2 or 3. But I could easily see this being an Atlanta blowout too like the Vikings/Cowboys last year. Vikes looked worse the last couple weeks of the season and then Dallas had a great WC game. Then it was like crap, Minnesota is an awesome team playing at home. We kind of forgot about the Saints last year too until the Arizona blowout

I would be absolutely shocked if the Packers get blown out. Their losses this year have been by 3 on a last second FG in Chicago, 3 in OT in Washington, 3 in OT vs Miami, 3 on a last second FG in Atlanta, 4 in Detroit and 4 in New England. That's six losses by a combined 20 points.

Atlanta rarely blows out teams and especially legit teams like Green Bay. I give Green Bay the edge and would take them +3 (bet line) if I was going to put money on it. If the Falcons win the game it's going to be by a field goal.

Packers fans are an interesting bunch. They have arguably the 2nd best QB in the entire league, but it's almost like they can't enjoy it because they're too worried about what the media says about Rodgers. I'd rather the media ignore and underrate Ryan. The constant gushing gets extremely annoying even for Falcons fans. But maybe I'd have a different opinion if I felt he earned some of the compliments he receives.

It's annoying because all year everyone heard "oh, Rodgers has never won a playoff game, he can't be considered an elite QB until he wins a playoff game." They fail to mention that in his first playoff game the Packers scored 45 points and Rodgers threw for 400+ yards and 4 TDs. Like the loss in the playoffs was his fault.

Then we still have a number of Favre lovers in the state who are incredibly annoying so we have to defend Rodgers against those idiots too.

The only team left in the playoffs that the Seahawks have any chance against is Chicago. I like Seattle with the points, probably...

To me the PIT/BAL game comes down to how well the offensive lines play. Oher has been lousy lately and he's got to block Harrison, that's a terrible matchup for BAL. But the PIT line will have loads of trouble with Ngata and Gregg, so it sort of washes. I trust Big Ben more than Flacco so I'll take the Steelers. Weather could be a big factor, supposed to be windy and that means special teams issues.

I think the Jets have a better shot than anyone of beating NE but The Sanchize has got to be near-perfect.

The ATL/GB game is a complete tossup. I wonder how ATL will fare coming off an extended rest. GB gets a short week from road game to road game and that's difficult to pull off, but they have the benefit of playing ATL already so there's familiarity with the game plan.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

I would like to believe Seattle has a shot, but I'm just not seeing it. Chicago's good fortune continues.

I'm picking Pittsburgh also because I trust Roethlisberger more than Flacco.

I'm not giving the Jets much of a chance.

I firmly believe that if the Packers and Falcons matched up 10 times (5 at each place), Green Bay would win 6-7 of those matchups, but I just don't feel comfortable predicting anything with conviction in this game. True to Packer form, this game will be close.

i like the ravens over the steelers. quarterback play is HUGE. and ben usually wins those battles, but cmon, the ravens cant keep takin it on the chin, one of these days theyve gotta get 'em. im sayin its this year.

green bay is ready to take the next step. their playcalling is excellent, and i think they have the beef to take on atlantas big runningback. plus, they have this db, #38, forgot the dudes name. this freakin kid is a star. im taking green bay to win in atlanta.

if the patriots lose, it wont be to a jets team. it will have to be an experienced team to take them down. they wont go down in the first round. sanchez can play great, but they take too many risks with their blitz packages, and the defense will get carved up by brady and those multiple packages they run. the ravens? thats a different story vs the pats. but the patriots are too experienced given 2 weeks off to prepare.

seattle vs chicago? im going along with everyone else who bet against them vs. the saints. their front will take a beating against chicagos front. right?

Ravens 17 Pitt 13
Jets 23 Pats 20

These AFC games will probably be the best games we'll see this playoffs. I think the Ravens are gonna do it, they seem to be more passionate about this game than Pittsburgh and with the talent being equal i think thats the edge the ravens have and will get them a win. I believe NE would win 8 out of 10 times but im hoping this is one of the 2 of 10 and the Jets can come up with some big plays somewhere and sneak out a big win.. which would set up Jets - Ravens which will be another amazing game.

Seahawks 13 Bears 20
Packers 27 Falcons 20

Not even looking too forward to watching any of these games, Bears will take care of seattle and packers will beat the falcons setting up an nfc north championship
