On the last play, just have a big man rotate to Turkoglu, KD might recover in time to contest inside off the pass. Helping off the perimeter gives Turkoglu the easiest pass possible and a wide open shot for the shooter.

I don't understand this strategy. It's why we get destroyed on 3pt shots. We're not going to win this game giving up this kind of 3pt shooting.

If this team actually hung its hat on defense like Brooks likes to tout we would be well outside of the 8th seed. I would certainly think that a team with that kind of emphasis on d would be smart enough to know that the perimeter is a focal point for the magic.

Durant went off, we're shooting 58% from the field, and yet only up by 4. Sooner or later we're gonna cool off, so the D better step up.

The first 8 minutes this was our best defensive game, but this might be one of our best offensive games. Crazy output tonight.

Hell yeah, Westbrook and specially Durant are dropping everything.

Also a great defense game by Durant.

I love Iblocka.

Our perimeter defense must be close to the worst in the league. It's so maddening.

Durant and Westbrook carried us tonight, with some great play by everyone else sprinkled in here and there. Great team win. Go Thunder!

I normally root for Durant just because he's such a class act. But I hated him today. I absolutely despised him for not missing a damn shot :(

you got to play physical with him and hope the refs don't call anything.

The moment I saw Hedo on Durant I knew it was going to be a good night for him. You need to get up in his grill and make him drive then double team him to force him a tough shot or pass. Playing off him(like Hedo) gives him a open look because of his height.

Playing physical with him, plays to his hand imo.
Which sounds somewhat counter-intuitive considering how skinny he is, but his game is based on getting to the line. Hes great at initiating contact, and getting his lanky arms chopped. I would say hes had a fair bit work done on countering physical play. :)

You could try to play denial defence against him, but he will simply backdoor for an oop for an easy bucket. Hes too quick. The pressure needs be more on Westbrook or whoever is feeding KD the ball.
The other way to stop KD is to run the offence through the player hes guarding, and try to play physical on the offensive end. Play his own game, and get KD into early foul trouble.

There really isnt much you can do, hes special.
