Just one trade thought, i dont want to trade fields but denver is not going to want chandler because they will have to pay him in offseason, and i dont see the grizz wanting gallo or chandler when theu have gay locked up at SF.

as crazy as it is, this makes a lot of sense

but i just dont see denver passing up Gallo over fields

It (falsely) gives the perception that there is "stability" in Denver when reality is there isn't. Melo is a dark cloud over that organization right now and they need to trade him for the sake of the team moving on. The Heat laying an egg allows the Nuggets organization the cover of believing they can still drag it out since "Hey, things aren't too bad if we beat the scorching Heat". It give Rose more time to work with NJ. It gives the stooges in Denver the idea that they can still get value and if necessary they can withstand the blow of Melo sucking IF the team is taking care of business. It's an illusion.

I was going more Law and Order because if Melo does end up in NJ, someone's getting shot.

we need some of that alien technology the russians used to convince melo that the nets are an actual nba franchise.

If we are going all in and want to get Melo now, then I imagine it'll be Gallo for Mayo. Mayo is coming off the bench and Gallo probably would too.

Then Mayo + whatever AR turns into + somebody not named Fields + Curry for Melo would probably be our top offer. I feel Fields and Amar'e are building such great chemistry that they are going to want to keep him. Chandler, as you say, will be an expensive commodity this Summer. Unless, of course, his productivity drops way off from the trade to then. Either way it's not a great option for Denver.
Play time is over.

Ok... I notice a trend in this thread.

Chandler is playing well so many excuse him from their trade proposals.... Gallo has missed a few games and wasn't as productive as Chandler in the first third of the season so armchair Gm's are quick to throw him into their trade proposals.

If the roles were reversed, like lets say this was the end of last year it would be Chandler in everyone's little trade proposals and Gallo as "untouchable". Funny....

Well step back into reality.... Denver will and should ask for the player performing better. And rightfully so because they would be parting with the proven commodity and not some flash in the pan (as of now,and now is what matters).

I can't fathom as to why any one player not named Amar'e on this team is untouchable?

Anthony is only 26yo! Look at his resume going back to college. These handful of players we catfight over will probably never collectively match the guy's resume throughout their entire careers.

reality? reality is that gallo has more worth than chandler because of his contract.

chandler is about to get paid 50million and no one wants to take that on, certainly not denver at this point

If Denver did take back Chandler couldn't they just extend him and only be on the hook for his QO? they get his bird rights right? I'm a little unclear on that.

Come on aggo.... The CBA uncertainty effects Chandler as well but nobody ever brings it up. So the 50 million number is speculatively shaky at best.

Aren't you a Jazz fan?

Oh, and the answer to your question is because Donnie isn't (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and Denver has no leverage, and Melo isn't that good.

Anything else?

Yes, they get his Bird rights.

So what's the QO? 3.8ish?

And like I said the new CBA will effect Chandler as well maybe even more so.

Denvers trying to shed salary they are not going to trade for a player they are going to have to pay a good amount of money for and give them alot of yrs. I dont see it happening
