I highly doubt Leon Rose even cares about Eddy Curry at this point. Eddy's career will be limited to 1-year minimum contracts from here on out.

Leon Rose's Client List. Forgot Eddy Curry was his lol.

Wow if we assume 5% cut of salary, that's around $4.5 million he's making CAA this season alone.

It's getting more and more clear, Melo going to the Nets means he doesn't have a real interest, as say James or Bosh did, to win and be competitive amongst the top in the NBA any time soon . .

clearly, if he wants to have a "Heatles" team of his own, and wants playing against James to be important/competitive again, going to the Knicks is the choice you make

It's not like he's being Kevin Durant by being all noble and sticking it out with the lesser known team - he'd be going to NJ for the money, and to get out.

We'll see

Denver Gambling w a Melo to Jersey Trade...

Post#807 » by newmexiknick » Fri Jan 14, 2011 7:05 pm

If Denver makes that trade and Melo does not sign an extension that leaves them crawling back to us.

Right now they seem to have some leverage to get a decent deal done with us, but if they go the NJ route first & it doesn't work out that leaves Donnie holding a fistful of Aces.

I just don't see how Denver could take that risk unless they have pretty good reason to believe that Melo will sign w the Nyets.

You'd think they'd consult with the guy that needs to sign off on the deal before letting it drag out for so long. . I don't think Melo has 'okay-ed' it, but it seems like he certainly hasn't said 'no' - though you never know. .

Regardless, if the Nets wanted to get the most from the Knicks, now would be the time to do it..we'd probably be most willing to give things up....certainly if this falls through we'll be the ones making the decisions.

This is getting really **** annoying. I feel like this will never end.

Why can't Melo just save DEN/NJ thei time and say "doesn't matter what the trade is, i ain going to NJ"...Why can't he say this?

Is this his fallback plan? Does he have an interest there?

Pathetic "representatives" -- you think either of these guys would go play in Newark on a horrific team if it was their career? Hell no!

Just me or does Leon Rose's forehead rise alarmingly high in the air? It looks like a carnival mirror.

I keep telling you guys, Leon Rose has it in for NYK. He's Angry at the way the Knicks treat Curry. He scared Lebron from NY. He's doing all he can to get Melo NOT to come to NYK.

If I was giving a guy a cut of my check, and he is pushing me to do something I dont want to do, instead of what I wanted to do, I would keep my cut and do what I wanted to do.

Agents are supposed to pull strings to get their clients what they want.

I'd go to Newark to see Melo team up with Sasha and Dacher.
